i've never said as a matter of fact that kenny can't put things right, i merely believe he won't if he is given a further year as some want. obviously he could surprise me and others that he can, but as i have said, given the events of the last year i don't think he can.
Don't be silly. Mish ended his post by saying it would be better for Kenny to step down than to be sacked. I'm saying he will step down if he thinks he can do no more. That point hasn't been reached yet, so his going now would be much more like a sacking.

On the first point, I don't agree. One ropey season - during which we've gotten to two finals and won one - is not enough to lead to that conclusion IMHO. Such an approach would have seen Ferguson gone from ManUre 3 or 4 seasons before he won anything.
The expenditure point is an interesting one. I obv.agree that improvement is needed, but we all know that there'll be no massive windfall and that's yet another reason for giving Kenny more time, because any new manager coming in will demand higher spending (to remodel the squad to his own specifications) than the owners will want to stump up.
At the risk of going round and round in circles, what if some have just lost faith in Kenny? Can this not be accepted?
We've had our worst league campaign in 59 years having spent over £100m, we've won 5 of 18 games at home, our football has been through other and lacking direction, the tactics and team selection has been very questionable to say the least.
It's not about stamping your feet and seeking instanct success, it's about weighing the season up as a whole and offering an honest assessment.
just out of curiosity did you say the same about roy hodgson? im not tryna catch you out or anything, i think kenny should get longer
I`m only new to the site but check my previous posts as I made the point that Hodgson was never a proper fit for LFC he just didnt understand the club and from day 1 all the supporters knew he just didnt fit in.
Hodgson done nothing to deserve more time unlike say Evans back in 90`s which produced some lovely footballing teams.
I strongly feel there are enough postive signs from this year that means Kenny deserves at least one more season.
Seeing how poorly our Champions league rivals have performed recently I think our players gave up on that quest way too early.
After the unwarranted defeat to Arsenal, when we were ten points behind forth place the gap must have seemed insurmountable.
In hindsight it was far from it.

And funnily enough most of that Chelsea team were bought by that prick and have been together for years.
We were close to going out of business are are taking the right steps to build a stable football club that will generate enough revenue to bring success on the pitch. Give me afew years of steady development that will ensure long term success instead of the Chelsea model, but that is just me I guess most of the Sky generation prefer instant success.
And I would never want players like Terry or Drogba near LFC cheating tossers who have helped ruin the game. The state of Drogba pretending to be injured today to waste time that isnt how I would want to see my team winning games
