Hope this works:

He get's his bonus in six months with or without a lump sum.

Given that he's on 10k a week where he'll end up on 50 at us, he'll have an extra million saved by summer.

My apologies for the phone faux-pas.

Maybe someone with the requisite skills would oblige ?

This is new to me. RESPECT.

Did you read what he said about Kenny before the game?

He got his autograph a couple of years back, and loves LFC (but not enough to give us Adam on the cheap) 😀

Yeah, he shows true respect there.

I said in the Harry after the game, only one good thing came out of that game for me, as I was leaving a young lad, younger than 10, unsure how old, was walking out with his dad, & he'd stayed, as did at least half our fans, to clap Blackpool off.

The lad looked up at his dad, very puzzled, & asked "Why is everyone clapping them when we got beat?". He replied "Cos we're Liverpool son, when they play as well as that they deserve to be clapped off."

Nice to see some things havent changed.

Yeah I remember Ged's first home game (as sole manager) against Watford and it was the same, we got beat 1-0 (deservedly). Taylor was very glowing post match about our fans reception.

No,Squiggs.

You'd think so,but it's bound to come back.

Like Cujo.

Har har...

I'm sure, you'd like it to end..

that picture brings up an interesting point. if charlie adam signs it would mean the end of lucas, which i think is all we need to know to rule out his signing.

nothing in the universe can violate the conservation of energy. equally nothing in football may violate the principal of the conservation of lucas. be it a transfer, a team selection, a leg breaking tackle, a torn hamstring, be it anything lucas is always conserved. charlie fucking adam cannot break that law anymore than he could break the laws of physics

Don't think so. We need a big squad. It might spell the end of Poulsen however.

Lucas is a different type of player but it's left to be seen what King Kenny's plans are. Poulsen is definately a goner in the summer!

I have to come to believe in this. Lucas is indestructible, that much we all know. Given that three managers in succession have now also deemed him to be undroppable, there is only one conclusion - there are greater forces at work here. He is either an alien made of adamantium with the added ability to brainwash every manager he plays for, or he has simply sold his soul to the devil.

Poulsen used to be a good player. Arguably in the top 10 DMs in the world in his prime ( when he was back in Sevilla). So it's not like he doesn't have the talent or the tools to play at the highest level - he does and he has, it's just for some reason his performance dropped off a cliff as soon as he left Sevilla for Juve and than us. I still have some small hope he can recover and a performance like yesterday's is an encouraging sign. If Kenny can turn him around, even partially, than the DM problem would cease to be so urgent, at least until the summer.

Now, I have a question for everybody. We have 2 top-class attack-minded CMs in the team, in Gerrard and Meireles. They probably cannot play together as a 2-man midfield (although who knows, ManU somehow got away with "soft" midfield a la Carrick-Scholes in a lot of games), so the ideal solution would be a 3-man midfield with Gerrard and Meireles in CM and a reliable anchorman. Do we really need another attack-minded CM like Charlie Adam? My answer to that would be probably "yes", because that would give us cover in case either one of Gerrard or Meireles cannot play for any reason and we would not have to change the system, which could negatively affect the whole team.

But I wouldn't break a bank for another CM at this point, because frankly I don't see how we can have all 3 of Gerrard, Adam and Meireles on the pitch at the same time, other than playing some exotic system like "diamond" 4-4-2 with fullbacks as wingers - can't see it happening here, especially considering that we don't have a decent specialist left back. So I am still in favor of signing Adam - we need more intelligent players in this team, but with Holloway haggling like a Turkish jewelry salesman ("My friend, 30 euros for this necklace? How could you insult me like that? 35 or no deal!&quot😉, I would not raise the bid too many times.

Sorting the left side remains a priority and Magic is not a long-term solution.

Get Taiwo and N'zogbia in to fix the left side, with Suarez upfront to help Torres. Adam is not a priority especially if Blackpool insist on 10M with the ever improving Jonjo making the step up.

I'm not convinced Adam is worth more than £5m to a team with top 4 aspirations although admittedly he COULD end up being a steal at that price. It's time for a creative offer; £5m + an extra £5m if we qualify for CL this season. an extra £2m if we qualify for Europa League and on top of that we lend them Suso & Pacheco until the end of the season.

This deal would also benefit us as it would give Pacheco & Suso some valuable PL experience and we can guage whether or not their ready to step up next season.

I think the creative bit is a good idea, but I don't want the world to see Suso instead he's dropped into the LFC team. I think he'll attract attention pretty quickly and someone will try and turn the boy's head.

I'm just laughing at Holloway claiming we put an offer in for Adam that would be, according to him, "what Charlie would be worth when Kenny was still playing". Yet it seems to escape his memory that they paid £500,000 for him less than two years ago. Hypocrisy Holloway ? Adam is worth £4-5 million at best. If Blackpool want more, they can fuck off.

If he had 4 years left on a contract then yeah I could understand a bid of 10m for him.

He doesn't, so I don't see why 5m is so insulting.

Throw in 1m worth of performance related bonus' and tell holloway to shut it.

Bish.bash.bosh.
