According to the Times we've rejected a 23 mill bid. Some other sites claim City have pulled the plug on the deal now. We can at least hope!

We are pretty fucking dumb then to reject that bid for an injury prone 27 year old who is never going to play a full season for us, regardless of how good he is.

Nice one i hope its true. We need to keep someone with the quality of agger. We have no one in the squad who can replace him adequately enough and i doubt there's anyone of his same level of quality we can get now at a decent price.

If he has another season the same as last then we'll get another higher offer.

We'll also benefit from having a settled defence, the only area of the side that is settled.

I'll say this re Agger. I absolutly love him for saying no to City. Turning down a pay rise, CL footy and a guarantee to challenge for the Premier League. All because he loves the club and wants to play for us.
Wheter or not City continue to bid, I hope Agger will continue to reject them and stay. Sign a new contract and be here for many years.

Legend in my eyes already.

i have a special place in my heart for agger as i used to speak to him in caldies park when we were walking our dogs. he's mental but very genuine. our dogs are both disagracefully scruffy and old which was our only common ground. he also respected how solid i was.

I assume he now walks his dogs elsewhere?
