After several years on the fringe of the Man U youth teams he gets a senior contract and goes out on perma-loan to a series of Championship teams where he got the occasional game. Salary allegedly £500k/year

Leicester pick him up after his contract runs out and he finally gets a decent run, culminating in being part of the team to gain promotion to the EPL. Leicester up his salary to £1.5m as a reward

He then has three seasons in the EPL with Leicester, the middle one being the one they win, and he gets a massive contract offer that ups his wage briefly to £4.5m! However, Chelsea (Conte) then come in and offer Leicester £35m for him and agree to pay him £6m/year wages for five years.

He then reverts to type and does multiple loans where he rarely plays. Today he admits the move to Chelsea was a "business deal gone wrong".

What a life!

He was good for Leicester. Yet another player that never should have gone to Chelsea but if money was important to him then he has certainly gotten that.

Kante is so good he earned a total bullshit merchant 50 million quid

Yep teams are made up of units or pairs and one extraordinary player can make a couple of players around them seem much better than they are. It's the same reason all our defenders look great when Virgil plays and look very shaky when he doesn't.
