Why does he have to be established? Sturridge couldn't get in the Chelsea team despite his obvious quality.

We should be looking at all the top clubs and international teams forwards and making a list of strikers the we have a chance of getting, there will be plenty of players with itchys arses not playing and it being World Cup year they will obviously want to be playing.

Why does he have to be established...
You're the one who said you want more than 1 good season, that makes a player established. Showing consistency over a few years, that's established.

Sturridge unpoven young player? hilarious! he was 23 when we signed him, If you didn't think Sturridge had bags of talent and quality then you are a very poor judge of a player, he proved at Bolton and Chelsea what he was about.

Obviously with Chelsea playing 1 striker and a certain Didier Drogba at the he was never going to past him, credit to Villas Boas, he knew, i've always rated him and was hoping we would get him in the Torres deal and when we did eventually sign him was bemused by the fact that the majority of Liverpool fans like you seemed absolutely clueless to his ability, he has always had something special going back to his Man City days, his temprement might of been in question but his quality certainly wasn't, not by people that have half a clue anyway.

Fuck knows why you are bringing Coutinho into it, im well up for those type of punts, he was one of the biggest most sought after young talents in the game a few years ago, for obvious reasons, well worth a punt for 8 mill.

As i keep repeating though, we need proper genuine quality in January, players that have done it in the top leagues and proved that they can cut it so they can go straight into our first team and give the club the best chance of succeding.

But hey, if you think Danny Ings and the like will move us forward as a club and take us to where we want to go then more fool you, you would think Liverpool fans would of realised this by now.

As i said if you want us to continue to sign average shit then so be it, i don't.

Its on another forum Sturridge thread if you really want to know that, it really was not hard to see he was a quality player, im not one of these never wrong types either like a lot of people are, you won't catch me acting the twat like that Rosco character does about Suarez, i was always behind us getting Sturridge, no problem admitting im wrong on things, hold my hands up i thought Carroll would be good for us, didn't agree with the money, thought 10 mill to much but thought he was a a beast and a very good player, in hindsight it was 30 mill to much and hes a lumbering donkey whos footballing mind is non existent.
 
Name these quality players that we can sign.
Like you were asked 4 times already and don't mention that crock who's on crazy money.

And yet you want us to sign Championship strikers who have had barely half a season doing well in that league, and im the thats got it all wrong.

I must be in an alternate universe where Liverpool are a nothing club and shit.

You keep asking me this just so you can shoot down anyone i say so that it jusifies you're opinion on signing championship strikers.

What about Gamiero, not sure if hes still at PSG buts is/was down the pecking order but we were linked in the summer, scores goals, France interational and won't be much money at all.

How about Leandro Damiao? Brazil international who Spurs are always linked, scores loads of goals, but yes he hasn't played in Europe you will say so he is unproven even though he has blatent quality to succeed in Europe.

Il'd rather take a punt on an older players like Gilardino or Di Natale if they were available at the right price.

As i said im no scout or football encyclopedia but give me pretty much any player of note over the latest Championship striker flavour of the month.
 
Can't believe people are insinuating that there is not proven class out there and we are basically better off dipping into the championship for whoever is doing well this season.

Gotta love the pack mentality of forums when a newbie has an opinion, funny, been in this situation before, keep going, i won't flounce like Rosco did last night.
 
To be fair, newbies are rarely set upon here, only when they make a sweeping generalisation and can't back it up.

Incidentally, I don't want ings, barely seen him play, but people who have an opinion worthy of note rate him highly.

All I know is we dodged a bullet not signing bale. Lower league waste of space

I have to say I thought Spag was OK until the 'Paddy' thing. A twat in our village who I'd met once before called me Paddy a while back. Predictably, he is a complete and utter wanker.
