Well I say between us and Real. One of his prerequisite seems to be a champions league team.

Man Utd, Newcastle also want him, but joining either wouldn't fit that narrative. While Spurs and Bayern also remain keen.

If Mane is leaving then signing a new 9 makes all the sense in the world. It would be nice to have some height in the box given we spam the opposition boxes with crosses for most the game. Haven't seen him other than the games be played for us, but you could understand the hype.

I have a feeling our target will be Jonathan David. It's well reported that we've scouted him extensively in the past. I think if we want to continue with our existing style of play, we'd target someone like him. His pressing numbers are off the charts, and he's built like an absolute tank. He's not the greatest finisher in the world (and he should consequently be more affordable), but he's very physical, with and has a huge work rate.

You could fit him in the central striker's role, and then build around him with Jota, Diaz, Carvalho and Salah in his usual play-finisher role if he agrees to extend. He'd still need to do a lot of developing, but that's exactly the kind of thing Klopp loves doing with players.
