I was just talking to my brother about Jota, and he said he couldn’t think of another footballer at Jota’s level who’s died while still active.

He's right, isn't he?

Weird when famous people die. Normally you just acknowledge it and it passes quickly.

Anthony Bourdain was an exception for me. Still think about him regularly, but I guess he is regularly spoken about in the media.

Mourinho has always been easy to hate as a football villain, but I've always thought he speaks immaculately on a human level.

You might have to go back to the likes of Munich tragedy. Tommy Taylor, Duncan Edwards and Roger Byrne were all established internationals for England at the time.

I know it’s a tag line other fans mock us for but at times like this it does feel like at Liverpool it does mean more. The club, the city and the people are truly special.

They’ve cheapened by putting it into tagline. We all know it’s real and real things don’t need advertising and clever slogans.

I think it's a shitty line that doesn't really capture anything what is actually unique about the club, which is really the connection that runs through between the club, the city and supporters, a sense of togetherness and spirit and endeavor through tough times both on and off the pitch. 'This means more...'doesn't capture any of that. It's just feels a bit arrogant and kinda cheapens and dismisses the passion other supporters have for their clubs. I've never minded it getting mocked. It's a bit cultish.

Don’t mean to be cynical - but wouldn’t that simply represent the minimum insurance coverage the club would have on Jota? I have no idea what that would actually be, but it seems it would not be a financial burden on the club to honor that. It’s what any respectable club should do.

Jose is two people to me. When he’s attached to a football club, especially when they’re not doing great, he’s an awful loser, very childish and extremely toxic.

When he’s infront of a camera as a pundit or in situations like this he’s klopp-like. Very charismatic, nice words from him as you’d expect.

Exactly so. His tribute to Gerrard in the pre match presser before the captain's last match vs Chelsea prior to leaving Liverpool was memorable.
