The luck of the drawer is basically the players we pick up along the way..... If Rodgers miraculously picks up some unknowns who manage to make the grade in the Premiership then we can progress.

Our trouble has always been we pick up one or 2 decent players in every 5 or 6..... and therefore we always are rebuilding the squad to ship out the dross every season.
 
We are Liverpool. Minimum requirement after a manager has had a full year in the job is challenging for a top 4 place from the off. If we're nine or 10 points off 4th after 10 games then that's not good enough. We have no European football and can prepare for each league match without distractions. Man city will be tinkered to death by their new fella, Man United are a different beast entirely now, Chelsea are a a soap opera and Spurs can fuck off. As for Arsenal. If we don't finish above that bunch of effete cunts then heaven help us.
It's time we grew some fucking balls.
