Pre Match EPL Man City (H) - February 8th 16:30

Home as well. Should prob beat them but with Salah and Gakpo in this form its like playing 5 a side with your mates cousin who's up for the weekend and his ma made him come but he's got golf clubs for legs

Salah and Gakpo are doing ok, at very least providing width. It’s 11 man game, hopefully defense is ready and midfield do their job. Will be a tough game, must win for City.

Two traffic cones could provide width if that's what you want...

Unless your traffic cones move up and down then no. Whom would you prefer in those positions instead with our current long set of injury prone players in the same positions?
Wirtz on the left with license to roam. Can sort of tolerate Salah on the right based on past performances.

Come on admit it, you are a little more excited to watch tomorrow's game now that we are giving it a go a bit more now.
We love the chaos and both teams do need to win, in theory both should be going for it. Anfield, 4.30 on a likely rain day. This is the football I love on paper.

You're right, I'm looking forward to this game. So often this season I've gone to the game expecting a grind but this could be a classic. Could go either way but hoping we can nick it 3-2

We are currently 6th by virtue of conceding one fewer goals than fucking Brentford who have our old back up goalie and 19th choice CB plus pensionable ex captain

It distresses me to even type it

Are we? We played well for an hour against Newcastle. Before that (in the league) we were abysmal against Bournemouth, before that we dropped points against Burnley...

I don't trust this manager to get the players to play consistently with the intensity and urgency I expect from a Liverpool side. Even if we do, there's no guarantee we beat Man City.

And even if we beat City, we'll remain 6th behind United, Chelsea and Villa, and we will have handed the title to an odious Arsenal side. If we lose, we'll continue to scrounge around with Brentford, Fulham, Sunderland and Everton.

So, no. No, I'm not excited about tomorrow's game.

It's almost a skill to be this bad with this crop of players.

A loss tomorrow and we not only lose touch with top 5 but we get swallowed into the mid table pack

Humiliating
Sigh. Whatever happens tomorrow it's 14 games minus one to go.

There's only one team showing any consistency or form.

A draw is no good to us at this point, we've had enough of those against championship fodder and no doubt they'll be more to come.

My feel is we'll win this out of sheer determination, then drop our levels before getting turned over by Sunderland.

Yeah, I feel like this is very possible. Either way, we're not winning at Sunderland, so it's all moot anyway. We have to win the majority of our games this season to stand a chance of the Champions League places. Not gonna happen.
