This is beautiful, again. The underdogs won, but there was no huge slice of luck, bad refereeing decisions or anything of that sort that City can point to. Lyon were just better at football for 90 minutes when it mattered, they were more compact, defended better and had pace and quality up front that City couldn't deal with. Oh, and Aouar matched De Bruyne in the battle of all-around midfielders tonight – what a player! If Barca had any sense – there's your Iniesta replacement.

What?! Whilst I loved it, Dembele clearly fouled Cancelo (?) before he ran through on goal. I thought it a great decision by UEFA to let it stand though.

I think he was really good considering how Lyon were playing most of the game - they were bypassing the midfield in attack to counter, and in defense, he was really there.
City are linked to him - which is a pity. He seems like a perfect replacement for Gundogan
