How many could he get as our back up striker.

I know he failed at Spurs but he wasn't exactly given the confidence to perform there.


I would take him in a heartbeat.

Bent's a funny one. When he's played for England he's looked totally out of his depth.
..Then again he only played a few games and he should be judged on the amount of goals he scores.

He's not a great FOOTBALLER...in terms of technique, touch, skill and link up play but he sure as hell knows where the net is.

Would love to see him playing for us but Bruce would be looking silly money for him.

i think bent thrives when he's the main man in an average team, with a manager who's happy to keep him motivated.

i really don't think it'd be good for him or us if we shelled out god knows how much just to have him sitting on our bench.

The deal with Spurs was £10m guaranteed with £6.5M on performance.
So he will be costing Bruce a fortune every game! (Not that he'll be complaining)

It was a major cock-up by the so-called master of strategy. In the summer he could have bought an efficient back-up striker instead of an injured Italian midfielder whom he doesn't seem to like very much anyway.
