Same, that second improved bid felt like the serious offer Leverkusen wanted. I'll be surprised if they could get any more or they think we would pay it.
Sounds like it’s more structure and add ons now. Should be done quickly

This is what 'Bumper' is for me. I was there at least three times which is proved by photographic evidence. But I can't remember a bloody thing.
I went to baby cream for new years around 2005Cream was the super club. 051 seemed to be rammed with locals. Pleasure Rooms was the after club.
I’ve posted this…View attachment 4052
And then posted another version of the Liver Bird, and asked it to replace the original with the second version (within the shield)
My mate, who is in Munich with me this weekend, managed Cream in early 90sI practically lived in Cream from ‘99 to ‘01.
My first visit was in 98 just before I hit 18.My mate, who is in Munich with me this weekend, managed Cream in early 90s
Already had too manyMy first visit was in 98 just before I hit 18.
Enjoy your weekend and have a stein or two for the champions
I used to manage Bumper the odd time. It was part of the company's portfolio so had to cover it occasionally. The council handing out later and later licences in town and the death of bands/indie/rock scuppered it. There wasn't much we could do to hold it.
Shame.
These structural changes are taking a long time, has Flo asked for a house to be built in Liverpool ?Sounds like it’s more structure and add ons now. Should be done quickly
Done that too ... TwiceHave a currywurst to soak them up.
i was a life @ bowlers type of guyI practically lived in Cream from ‘99 to ‘01.
Not really seen much to say that they have.Apparently 2nd bid of £109M plus add ons has been rejected
Agreed. Is it in our interest for all this to be out there? Seems wierd these offers and rejections are public knowledge. Just piles pressure on us.I don't get this protracted way of doing shit. Does it really happen this way @Beamrider? I mean I dunno I've never batted at this level before but most of the major deals I've ever done in my life have been sat down with someone, usually in a pub. The offer and counter offer, is this an email or a convo or what?
The negotiations will typically be verbal with follow-up emails to formalise everything (and the wording of those emails will then typically form the basis of the formal agreement). As far as paperwork is concerned, the player contract is usually the time-consuming thing but it sounds like that's already done. The transfer agreement is usually only a couple of pages, but then it's usually a fixed fee with limited contingencies etc. In this case, the payment structure and triggers are likely to be messy and it will take time to agree those and then agree wording that suits both parties (bearing in mind that Leverkusen will also be working in a second language, and as silly as it sounds, that was what tripped up Pere Guardiola when he was acting for Suarez on the £40m + £1 (non) release clause). So Leverkusen will be understandably cautious.I don't get this protracted way of doing shit. Does it really happen this way @Beamrider? Was never really into the techno scene but the bowlers set up was awesome.No. My mates did. My memory is foggy but I think the dude that organised the techno lineup when they started that kinda thing thought I was a prick. Probably had good reason.
So Wirstz is going to be shite!!!!And just to give some historic context:
The Suarez / Carroll / Torres window was before my time at the club but apparently we had to have three separate teams, focusing on one deal each because of how much work they needed to do. Carroll and Torres were obviously done very quickly and it's fair to say that there were some "pragmatic" decisions on at least one of those deals whereby things would have been done differently if we'd had the time.
By contrast, the Keita deal dragged on forever because it was so messy, Emre Can and Lazar Markovic (shudders) too. It's often the case that in some deals players / agents will want something which is do'able in the country they're leaving but not allowed under FA rules and then we all have to go around the houses finding a way of giving them substantially the same thing in a different form. And often the problem was that the footballing guys (i.e. the Richard Hughes role) weren't always on top of the rules and would agree to something that we then couldn't deliver.
And the ones that took all the time always turned out to be shite.
Not as shite as Salah. So Wirstz is going to be shite!!!!
