Cherki can play on the left I believe. I wonder if we would consider signing him if Díaz move on, ir he is just a fallback for Witz.

I'd expect City to get him wrapped up long before, though, but nonetheless it's interesting Slot has still flown to meet him.

I don't believe for one second Slot flew down there to tell him : "you're our back up to Wirtz, so if he doesn't sign we'll come for you". Maybe we'll go for both.
 
I’d love us to sign Cherki - not on account of whether we need him, he’s any good or he represents good value.

No… I want to sign him as well as Wirtz to hear the bullshit City spin out to their one-eyed deluded fanbase, while we snap up another of their targets, so that they’re left trying to pretend that begging de Bruyne to stay another season was the plan all along!!!

I wish we’d get this over the line. I know we need to negotiate, but there’s something to be said about going out and just getting your top target. How many times have we seen these deals fall apart? If we faff about here and it falls through, Cherki goes City, I can’t help but feel it throws our whole summer strategy out the window. Pardon the pun.

Yeah, would be nice to get a "Here we go" soon. Its probably quite normal that it takes time to finalize and agree a 115 + mill £ transfer though.

I'm surprised we haven't moved players on first. It'll be tougher to sell for good money if clubs know Elliott is surplus. Eg: £18m for Kelleher, when we apparently wanted £20m+.

Be careful with your Cock out mate - that citronella won't keep the ticks off your dick and they'll suck it dry and not in a good way!
