Florian and the (Slot) Machine

As if any Real player was getting sent off. Look at the way they weaseled out of the penalty.
It broke up their attack though, as when they were attacking down the right the ref stopped play.

I'm fine with shithouses. With Robbo on his decline, we need the next gen of beauts to come in. Just need to learn when to do the shithousery

We have too many nice guys in our squad. The stars players like Vini, Mbappe does it all the time and they get away with them so whatever.

I'll take it if it means we get more decisions going our way.

I read comments from football fans IN Germany saying he was regularly complaining that players were too physical in the Bundesliga, and they were totally bemused to choose to join the Premier League. I hoped at the time they were just bitter Bayern fans, but it's been pretty clear for a while that they had a point.

That shoulder barge he won with their left back before the Mac Allister chance has been my favourite moment of him in a red shirt. It was a sign he's starting to get stuck in and wanting to battle with the opponents, and hopefully, some improved strength. Salah is the prime example of a player who isn't the biggest but has always had enough dedication to his physique and his game to allow him to regularly get the better of his defenders, and Wirtz needs to adopt a similar attitude. There's only so far being blessed with twinkle toes will get you in the Premier League.

Fair comment, but it's the kind of readjustment I'd expect any player to need when transitioning to the EPL from more or less any foreign league. It can actually work in reverse too - e.g.Modric had a hard time in La Liga initially after going to Madrid from Tottenham. I'm still optimistic for Wirtz.
