There's only so far being blessed with twinkle toes will get you in the Premier League.

Fair comment, but it's the kind of readjustment I'd expect any player to need when transitioning to the EPL from more or less any foreign league. It can actually work in reverse too - e.g.Modric had a hard time in La Liga initially after going to Madrid from Tottenham. I'm still optimistic for Wirtz.

I'd be inclined to agree if I had any idea who or what would be suited to us. Because I haven't a scoobie what we're about at the moment.
I don't think that at all, I just don't think Slot has got a clue at the minute, the front line seriously lacks movement, which isn't helping
He is / should be a creator in midfield but I think he's playing too high up and we can't carry both him and Mac in the same XI. You only need one playmaker.

Grav - strong defensively, can play but generally shouldn't because he's there to hold
Mac - strong creatively, can defend a bit but he's there to create (basically Grav in reverse)
Szob - workhorse who can play a bit, decent from set-pieces, strong in the press
Flo - probably stronger than Mac creatively and can carry the ball better, but weaker defensively.

The risk was always extremely high, contrary to what many thought. I’m still hopeful he can adapt but we’ve come a bit unstuck trying to find out.
