I don't know, you could argue we've handled it relatively well and kept exposure to a minimum, it could have gone to the big rags as back page news, but it's stayed quite low key and if we can usher him out the door now, then the damage has been kept to a bare minimum. I hope they learn from this though. I understand it being a learning curve for them, but they need to learn fast.
Cos thats the way it works. It's called a compromise to make people go quietly. It works if you can be pragmatic. Plus if we sacked, he could try and sue and that drags us through the gutter. Easy to do it, even though it may not sit too well with some of us.

To make the whole thing go away quickly and quietly without compounding any PR damage which might already have been done. I don't particularly like the idea myself, but I wouldn't quarrel with it from a pragmatic point of view.

That's one year over the past decade, in fairness, and immediate and appropriate changes have been been made to rectify this.

Define "possible". I don't think they'll do it unless/until they reckon they'll make decent money on the deal, and incidentally there's zero guarantee that any new owners coming in will be any better than they are, or any more likely to stick around.
I think until a new stadium is built there will always be questions about commitment.
They've also spent little on transfers given the transfer fees in and the wages saved to date.
