An acquaintance of mine who's quite senior in the local constituency Conservative Association reckons Cleverly was the only candidate worth voting for in their leadership election. In her view Badenoch will make a good first impression but it's anyone's guess how things will go from there, as Badenoch is tough but not as clever as she herself thinks she is.
They took the hit straight away with the winter fuel allowance stuff. That’ll be one of the most unpopular policies.
Then once badenoch starts chatting shit they’ll lose more voters.
Gonna be interesting to see who Badenoch now fetches into the Shadow Cabinet. Given the number of Tory MPs who either resigned before the last election or were defeated in it, and the fact that she beat most of the other remaining big hitters to get the leadership, she may find herself with quite a small pool to fish in.

Fuck knows because the media keep going on about other shit ignoring some of the positives. How do we rate the performance of the new Labour Government?
How do we rate the performance of the new Labour Government?
If only. That would be utopia. It's all a bit Woy.
Where’s the outrage for NI relief for workers in Freeport’s and Investment Zones??????????? Two tier taxation being screamed about by the wealthy elite. The hypocrisy.
Send more info pls.
No idea what this is.
Wiki says it does.
What has happened is the usual screaming like a banshee over a minuscule thing. This is an incentive to get skilled workers to come to the UK, who still have to go through the usual hoops to work here. It’s for those staying less than 3 years. They won’t get a state pension, have to pay for NHS treatment and cannot claim benefits.
I’m not agreeing with the NI policy, it’s the whole media faux outrage over it. It was apparently set up by the Tories too.
You’d have to extrapolate those who are actually working, ignoring family and students.Over 700k Indians have migrated to uk since 2021.
Both work and student.
How many left etc I dunno.
I'd really like a breakdown of the types of work the 'skilled workers' are doing to better understand this.
