Would you swap Klopp for Ancelotti?

If Ancelotti was the manger he was 10 years ago, without a shadow of doubt..

Now.. We have the right man in charge..

Not sure if A is off the boil, but I like what we have. Bird in the hand is worth two in the bush (fnar fnarr).

Answer to your question is 'NO' - and most likely he may be lined up for Real Madrid (again !!!).

We need a solid foundation building for future success, Ancelotti is definitely not the man for that at this stage of his career - or for a while now actually.

Klopp is a good fit for stability and longevity, if we can address the couple of squad gaps and maybe add a DoF in future for continuity, then we are rosy.

When we went Munich for the pre season there was this Lebanese gaff round the corner from our flat, and the dude there kept it open till the early hours and it was full of groups of sound people getting wrecked all night in the week, and I was all like, how civilised.

Anyways, the Lebanese dude said that Ancelotti lived in the top floor flat above the bar, and he was a grumpy twat and everyone in the neighbourhood thought he was a total nob. At the time I wondered why he'd live on some average street above a pub but the next day walking through this lovely park I saw it from the other side, overlooking the park, and guess it must be one of the coolest central spots. That is my boring Ancelotti anecdote. Oh, any of you guys ever pop in The Vernon on the corner of Dale St ever? The dude who runs it is the spit of him. And he's a grumpy fucker too.

Ancelotti isn't a long term manager, he tends to move after a couple of season of success. If we had a top class team and needed to kick on to the next level then yes hed be ideal but we are miles from there.

That said he's one of the best managers in the game and has more success than Klopp both recent and historic. He's proven himself at numerous clubs in 3 or 4 different leagues and won everything there is in club football.

I thought we had, beyond doubt, the right man for the job? You're the one who rammed Klopp's arrival down everyone's throats, as a surefire guarantee of success, and now (unsurprisingly) you're the one asking if we should jump ship already.

Do you now get it, why no one takes you seriously? Going on about proper managers and all that bullshit, when you're one of the most fickle, trigger happy idiots on here.

Read Tony Evans tweeting about Ancelotti's training methods basically being more out of date than Hodgson's.

I've always got the sense with Ancelotti that despite all he's achieved, he's not the most dynamic of managers. His teams haven't progressed any particular new style or tactic. Having read bits about him, he also seems a bit stand offish when it comes to cutting edge new methods.

His main strength is probably managing big ego's and and big names and getting it to work on the pitch. Which is ironic, because he's failed miserably at that at Bayern.

I go the Vernon every Xmas Eve when I finish work.

I'll keep an eye out for him and report back.

Can you even imagine...

To be honest, what's this long term manager shit? You mean not like like Ancelloti and Mourinho? Who win stuff? Unsure..... Personally, I'd take some short-term shit.

We don't have the owners to fund anything short-term, their only hope is a manager like Klopp.

He has had close to the best team in the respective leagues for around 15-18 years and won the league only four times. In that four times, it was once with PSG and other with Bayern.

Great record overall though, especially in Europe. I don't think he is the type to get a team to consistently punch above their weights. He is a perfect fit for a team with elite level talent where there are ego troubles. I don't think he will be a good fit for us.
