IF he was to go in the summer, considering he's got loads of baggage now, what's the minumum you think we should accept for him.
On the back of a brilliant footballing season, and he's got a long term contract.

We should ask for 60m & accept no less than 45m.

Even at that figure I'd be fuming though.

In an ideal world I think you're spot on, and he should be being banded around in the same bracket as monkey boy bale. He's in that elite group of a few behind messi and ronaldo.
I just think that if any clubs come in for him, they'll think they'll be able to bum us as they'll be doing 'us a favour'.
IF we could replace him with another world class striker straight in, I think I'd take 40-50mill for him.

The problem is, we'll struggle to get in a big name. We'd have to take a gamble on someone 🙁

What's the point? As I said in the main thread, we'd be giving the toff twats at the FA EXACTLY what they and Fergie and half the media want, a league that consists of United boring their way to the title every season. Entertainment? No ta, we're English.

HE'S NOT FOR FUCKING SALE!

I think he's worth much more to us than any likely transfer fee.

And I can't see that his problems would be any the less if he moved elsewhere.

Keep him and work with him. We've got a top head Doctor on retainer, time for him to justify his fees.

No Sale.

I wouldn't sell him but would happily swap him in deal that involves us getting Messi and old whiskey nose Ferguson dying.

Even from a financial point of view it makes no sense to sell him unless a ridiculous offer comes in. If he were to fire us into the top 4 next season that's worth around 30 million. I'd consider it for 60 million + at the lowest

He'll do well to fire us into the top 4 in 20 games.

If we got £40 million from European team or £50+ from a English team, which would you accept?

Same as Torres - £50M

He's at a better level now than Torres was when he left, but he's completely mental.

The bit after biting Ivanovic where he pretends to limp around makes my toes curl. Utterly embarrassing.

They! Want us to sell him!
They! Know he's the best player in the premium!
They! Have an agenda against us!

We! Will have the last laugh somehow sometime we will fuck the FA right off

Sell for the first good offer we get. We have Carroll coming back - that's enough tbh to compete for 7-10th, which is where we should be aiming for.
