Is It True Van Dijk Had a Trial With Ajax?

Hi,

Is it true that Van Dijk had a trial with Ajax. This is fake image but they must be kicking themselves if he did have a trial. They would have been able to keep hold of him for longer than Groningen.

Read an interview he did with Four Four Two last season and he said Ajax were interested when he left Groningen, but Celtic were more committed so he went there instead (Ajax were stalling on the deal so he turned them down). He didn't mention any previous connection to Ajax.
