Well it has been six crazy years, but for totally different reasons.
Lets hope that our time as finally come again.

Memories of that day.......
Being in Liverpool city centre at midday and already the pubs were rammed and the atmosphere was just amazing.
Going for something to eat about 5pm, but not being able to eat because I was bricking it!!
Just seeing red shirts everywhere, well that's a given.
Hearing songs everywhere you went.
Needing to go for a pee when Alonso scored the pen, but not being able to move for fear of missing something!

Strangest memory of the following day for the bus parade............
Seeing Sophie Rayworth from the BBC outside Wetherspoons on East Prescot Road beggin a policeman to stay with her at all times because she was terrified she was going to get assaulted!!!

Just a few of a thousand other memories:

Lord Frodsham jumping higher in the air when the Dude saved that last pen.than he ever managed for a cross, then shimmying around the Cup when we got our hands on it;

Yours truly missing the mad stampede of our lads towards the Dude because I myself was racing round the house howling like a banshee;

Phoning my relatives in Malta (Juve rather than Milan fans, but very snotty about English football as opposed to Italian) and gloating like a good 'un.

Happy days. ;D

fucking hell, talk about living in the past.

Man Utd won it in 2008 and are in another final, that's more relevant

Probably the best day anyone will experience as an LFC fan. Ever.

On the down side: it's trying to get that high back.

On the plus side: 99.9%-100% of Footy fans anywhere will never experience anything like that so enjoy it.

Loved every second of it. Even the piss poor organisation of the Turks and the ground in the middle of nowhere. Amazing how winning makes you forget the trivial things!

The museum plays that 24/7; it's so easy to just sit there and watch it repeatedly.

I'm afraid to though; I'm convinced if I keep watching Shevchenko will eventually score.

I got the train back from liverpool and the pub opposite the taxi rank at lime st wouldn't serve us because it was 23.01.

Prior to that, I ensured I was recorded dancing on the streets of merseyside.

Forget the name of the pub I was in for the game but it was great. Got to Liverpool about 3pm and followed Paisley's lead and decided not to touch a drop so I could "savour every moment". I hit the ale however at half time...

i was in a walkabout and at half time i threw mi bottle of beer on the floor in sheer frustration and others follwed as i backed into the crowed the bouncers threw the other guys out.. what a night

Just watched "One night in May" again.

Still tingles the spine
Still brings a lump to the throat
Still brings a tear to the eye

Ha! I know exactly what you mean. Even now I get nervous watching the remainder of the game after we equalised, and the pens.

Probably the greatest football match of all time.

I wouldn't switch that trophy for anything.

So many highs and lows in one game. I can't imagine what it would take to beat that match, and I'm not certain my heart could take another game like that.

Stevie gesticulating to and encouraging our fans after he scored,
Dudek's extra time double save against Shevchencko.
Smicer scoring the penalty that ultimately wins us the cup and then celebrates by kissing the badge, knowing full well it was the last kick for Liverpool he would ever take.

all guaranteed to start me welling up

Hamaan on the touchline waiting to come on.
Dudek's nod after that save.
Traore smacking the post after the clearance.
Thommo banging the glass windows.
40000 fans singing their hearts out whilst 3-0 down.
Carra's interception and cramp.
Baros getting his fucking hand out ofthe way.Garcia running for the ball after every goal to restart quickly.
The fat prick saying 'well and truly over'

Jamie running to the fans was awesome
Gerrard not being able to talk

Don't think it was those movies, but Gerrard saying "how can I leave after this"
