Jack Robinson is great. I actually don't think we need a new LB. For the full back spots we have Johnson, Aurelio (some of the time), Kelly, Flannagan and Robinson. Any of these players can play at LB if needed. We'd be unlucky to have four of them injured at the one time. We've splashed out a lot of money on good, but underwhelming signings this Summer, so there can't be an awful lot left in the kitty. Spending what we have left on one top quality attacking threat i.e Mata, is important in my opinion.

How tall is Robinson? The maturity of some of his play has made me wonder whether he might become a CB in time.

I doubt it. He's always looked a pretty natural full back. Doesn't have the bulk or the strength to play CB now anyway.

Also, the offal lists him as 168 cm which is about 5'6! That can't be right.

Wiki lists him as 5'11 which is about right I think.

What impressed me most yesterday regarding Flanagan and Robinson was their willingness to get stuck in and also their involvement in the opposition half, both like to pass and overlap, looking for the one-two. Obviously there's a long way to go, but at their tender age, the prospects look promising.

Regards Kelly, he's not quite the finished article himself, his positional sense is often lacking and he's prone to the odd lapse like any youngster, so it would be foolish to put too much pressure and expectation on him either, but having all three waiting in the wings is good for the future and a pleasant change from the days when we would be bricking it at the prospect of our first choice fullbacks being unavailable.
