[James Pearce] Southgate confirms that #LFC's Jarell Quansah, who didn't make the final 26, is on standby and has stayed with the England squad ahead of tomorrow's game v Iceland.

Over Branthwaite and Colwill?
Quansah must have really impressed Southgate

Has it been announced then? I thought that was tomorrow?

[edit] Oh right!

Lewis Dunk (Brighton), Joe Gomez (Liverpool), Marc Guehi (Crystal Palace), Ezri Konsa (Aston Villa), Luke Shaw (Manchester United), John Stones (Manchester City), Kieran Trippier (Newcastle), Kyle Walker (Manchester City)

Jeez that's not a convincing crew! Really surprised no Branthwaite

He's eligible for Scotland. So Southgate is being canny as they'd say over the border.

You all seemed surprised that our Q has stayed - for a new player in our first team, for his age ,and the way he has performed - if he was playing for any other team - ALL of us would be wishing we had that £60M to invest in such a player. He's been outstanding for us, and has all the qualities of a modern central defender.

England 'only' have 25 on the pitch/bench this evening INCLUDING Jarrel. Shaw is not involved, Trippier is playing LB
