I'm not. Because Glasner has turned into an utter wanker since last summer. I don't know what happened but something rattled his cage and he lost his cool and couldn't handle it.
I don't think he'd last long there.
He wanted pressing, and hard work, but had to back down as the players didn't.

For me I want out and I think we could find someone else. The fact now one of the managers we courted during slots appointment is available (in Alonso) it makes it even more an obvious time to do it.
Obviously I'm not immovable and if (somehow) we manage to find a rhythm, see active patterns of play, strengthen at the back line (with signings or without) and start getting results, then wonderful! I've just seen nothing to say it will

I don't think he'll turn it around enough to stay on. But I'm equally unconvinced that sacking him now would be beneficial.
He'll likely do well enough to squeak into the Champions League for next season and we'll part ways in the summer. Which is fair enough, I suppose, from my perspective.
I'm worried about wading into a manager recruitment battle with United, Real, maybe City, Spurs, and others. But I'm not certain the right successor is lined up and available right now.
For example, if we want Xabi, is he mentally ready to step into a new project right now or would he be best served by having a full preseason? Look at what happened when United forced Amorim to join midseason instead of waiting.
So, is there an interim manager that could give us a bump in results for the back half of the season? How many are ready to let Stevie G have five months at the helm?

It's weighing up the options
1) is it worth persisting with slot and hoping he does enough to get CL, then sack
2) bring in a new manager who may or may not make the cl (who fucking knows), but at the very least then has 5 months to assess the squad before the transfer window.
If you take option 2 then realistically we e may as well treat the rest of the season like pre season, which I don't hate. Id almost rather miss out on cl because we're learning rather than missing out on it because we aren't trying.
Chelsea and United genuinely have a chance to leapfrog us when it comes to cl qualification and I wouldn't be surprised to see us finish 6th or lower.
I think there's a reason we heavily scouted Alonso, and I don't think we've changed enough to think he's not viable any more. If we want Enrique or someone else, then going in to the summer with united, city, Madrid, potentially PSG all looking for managers, we're fucked.

Exactly and yet people like to keep banging the drum that we are 11 or 12 unbeaten.. 6 league draws in that run.. Only 1 was an actual good point. 3 of those draws were home draws against newly promoted sides.
Because being hard to beat is important. Going a lot of games unbeaten is actually hard to do, it isn't done that often, and give we'd lost a stupid amount before this run, its something. It doesn't mean our problems our solved or that we're close to solving them, but we're closer to it than we were in November.
