Jose Enrique - HAVING MEDICAL. Official.

Re: Jose Enrique - 'Done Deal' says Thommo

Enrique would be a very good signing in my view. He's strong, relatively quick, gets forward and is quality in possession.

Furthermore he's Premier League proven and we won't be paying a ridiculous amount for him.

Hope this happens.

would certainly continue the trend of buying seriously unexciting players.

Perreira is 27 with 20 million price tag.
Enrique is 24 with a year left on his contract.
You do the math.

I thought enrique was 26?

They're both 25, so that argument can go to bed.

Re: Jose Enrique - 'Done Deal' says Thommo

Maxi Pereira 27
Álvaro Pereira 25

Which one?

Both Wingbacks, both quite good.

Re: Jose Enrique - 'Done Deal' says Thommo

Enrique is fucking ace and if we don't buy him I'll be all like, why?

Maxi can play in midfield also....which would be handy for when we don't have enough cover there 8)

Re: Jose Enrique - 'Done Deal' says Thommo

Meh. I don't want him. Especially if Cissokho's available for a similar price.

Made it a point of watching him play last season ever since we were linked with him, and he ranged from being good to average to utter shite. My conclusion is that he is on the whole very average, and unlikely to improve us much. If we're signing a left-back, I want us to address the position long term. Not buy someone who you'd want to get shut of in a couple of years. I'd rather stick with Glenjo there if that's the case.

Re: Jose Enrique - 'Done Deal' says Thommo

Any news then? According to the Northern Echo reporters a fee is rumoured to be agreed, but wages are the stumbling block.
He's apperantly on 46k pr week now.

Re: Jose Enrique - 'Done Deal' says Thommo

From one of the few reliable lads on twitter we hope to conclude deals for Dann and Enrique by the end of the week.

I was told we are refusing to meet the 12 million valuation Birmingham want for him.

That is good news mate, no way we should pay that much. He's got 1 year left on his contract and Brum need the money. He'll probably go for 6-7 mill in the end.

Re: Jose Enrique - 'Done Deal' says Thommo

on the other hand, i don't know why we'd be after a centre back who wasn't worth 12 mill.

He'll be desperate to come to LFC, so maybe he's telling Birmingham he'll be offski for free soon if they don't sell him to us now.

Re: Jose Enrique - 'Done Deal' says Thommo

Quite the opposite to be honest Dann was in a mate of mines house on friday night and said it looked like he was off to arsenal.

Re: Jose Enrique - 'Done Deal' says Thommo

The weird thing about Birmingham is that almost everyone at the club seems to be heading off to better clubs, even though they were shit last year.

Re: Jose Enrique - 'Done Deal' says Thommo

They were at least in the Prem though, plus Hughton's probably been told to scalp the budget given Carson Yeung's current problems.

Re: Jose Enrique - 'Done Deal' says Thommo

Look Comolli you beady eyed, pedo looking fuck! Go out NOW and sign Cahill, Neymar and Enrique.
Thanks.

Re: Jose Enrique - 'Done Deal' says Thommo

I think we'll get either Cahill or Dann, and the other ending up at Arsenal. Not sure who I want tbh.

Arsene seems pretty keen on Jagielka though.

The price will go down as Bolton need money and he's a free agent after this season. A lot of brinkmanship going on I suspect. Both Brum and Bolton know we are interested which probably will keep the priceca bit high until someone makes a move.

Re: Jose Enrique - 'Done Deal' says Thommo

I would have had godin, or a few others we've been linked to ahead of cahill. But he's decent enough, just not convinced at that price
