I don’t think his attitude changed at all.

Gravy and Mo finished the season more poorly that they started it, but I wouldn’t accuse them of “downing tools”

End of the day, he played his part in us winning the league - that sort of thing doesn’t tend to happen when key players down tools.

You can pretend it doesn’t weaken your argument that he “downed tools” if you like.

Objectively, his output didn’t suggest any sort of drop off.

I get it though, subjectively, the fact decided to leave meant that people amplified every failing and created a false narrative that his performances were a disgrace.

Anyway, the point is, there is absolutely no evidence to suggest that Konate’s performance levels would drop off in a season where his ultimate plan is to leave at the end of it versus, say, his performance levels increasing to make sure he maximises his new deal.
