Konate

We’re dickheads looking in from the outside who would put aside anything he’s done for someone like Ekitike in trying to integrate into a foreign country/team. We’ve all seen it online in clips but it means fuck all if it doesn’t suit our narrative.
True, he does look like a good m guy as I said. But also, we are pretty good with wages and how we treat players. He is taking a massive risk with Madrid, he will be exposed pretty quickly I reckon in same he won’t be with Virgil next to him.

difficult to muster huge amounts of give a fuck after trent. just a shame we don’t have guehi to treat him to some bench time if this is true.

I assume no-one's really arsed if he fucks off next summer? Bloke's a liability when he's off form. The worry for me is, if I was Madrid, I'd be knocking on Guehi's door in Jan rather than ours. Guehi is miles better.

He's 26 now, and should be being spoken about as one of the best centre backs in Europe by now. He can have great games but he isn't consistent enough, and is certainly not the imperious presence we need on that side with attacking full backs.

Club’s been mucking him around for over a year, now with Leoni’s ACL we have no choice but play him every game despite his mind being elsewhere. Great stuff.

With VVD ageing, Ibou leaving on a free, Gomez being a fucking liability and question marks over what shape Leoni will come back in, our CB position is looking rather precarious.

The annoying thing is (apart from not getting Guehi done) that after an excellent debut I could have envisaged Leoni emerging as a bona fide option over the course of this season…our Huijsen of sorts…alongside VVD and ousting and out of form Konate before Christmas.

But of course, the football Gods fucked us over again.

I advocated for selling him because of the obvious links to going to the facists in Madrid for a free next summer. I was shot down by the usual fanboys with their over the top praise for him and the "just pay him" brigade.

The thing is, he is injury prone, half a brain and has a fat arse. He can be a good, even in the odd game, a very good centre half. Unfortunately that's not good enough for us

Probably should have been sold earlier in the summer than and got Guehi in. I thought Klopp was the lead mastermind behind players running down the contract?

He’s injured, and he was always going to get injured. But at least we tried to skimp on Guehi to ensure we could spend 150m on Isak.

Knowing Slot he’ll take our best CM and move him to CB, rather than using this as Gomez’s last chance to play himself into the first team.
