Liverpool related transfer speculation

His bastard agent looks the sort who has his route to Madrid and Saudi all mapped out. I'm okay with a Release Clause. As long as its for £250 million

Hey money talks and Chelsea can still get CL football.
Also, the way Slot rotates, it's more likely he'll be playing next to Quansah.
Money talks up until a certain point and then its all about your ambition as a player. Take bellingham for example, he turned down a lot more money from man utd to go to dortmund. Whether he signs for us, arsenal or chelsea he'll still be a multi millionaire.

It was orchestrated by his family. He was still under 18.

Honestly, just leave your personal emotions out of it. These people don't give two shits about Liverpool and it's glorious history or whatever. They want a high level of football, good players, good exposure and money. Lots of money. Nice weather, big city, etc also plays a role.

In very few instances we manage to get a player like Elliott, who also lives in La La land like we do. But most of the time it's all very calculated.

I mean yeah, we can probably bully the likes of Newcastle, Villa etc when it comes to transfers, but it's a totally different story when Chelsea, Man C and Arsenal are involved.
Remember how Man U did us 20 years ago.

Well said Modo, we are losers on a grand scale.

F'ME! Honestly, CJ isn't being played enough by Slot which has ticked you off.
If a player chooses us over Chelsea its because Chelsea will pay both the agent and player a huge sum. Chelsea is like that gambler that keeps borrowing to cover his losses
If Huisen wants to go to Chelsea, he isn't the right player. Their track record on transfers is sheer abysmal.
Hughes has had whole season to craft the squad for next season, lets see how he does. I just hope we don't do its him or no one

Not playing CJ by any manager is a criminal act bordering on war crimes.

My reply to @Modo on being losers was not serious - I just know that for most players who are wanted by the other big clubs we won't be top draw despite our honours list. Money is part of the reason and I get it and to be honest - I am not bothered that much as I think our recruitment team will get it right with the data science.

Can I just add - to be honest this Huijsen guy - without me seeing what our data nerds see, - I don't really think he is a long term great prospect from just looking at him - he is tall, not that quick, and skinny as f*ck - I would not describe him as a unit of any kind. I can only recall 2 young defenders (who I saw play in their youth) in my lifetime that have turned out to be world class:

Rio Ferdinand
Sergio Ramos

I have left out the typical famous young Italians from the late 90's who were coming on - because they plied their trade in Serie A where the league was more geared towards defending than attacking - and I never judge defenders and their overall abilities if they play in teams that are defence first.

So… if you’re a young defender and you want to be world class, the way to do it is to not let Moron see you play…

If Moron sees you play… the only option is to also be an absolute cunt and hope for the best.

My issue has never been losing out on players, its him or nothing mentality which usually means we have people covering positions who are not good enough. So if Huijsen does Chelsea, then we have an alternative we can go to. We need rotation amongst the CBs and we know from last season Quansah is not there yet.
From wanting 3 additions at the back, I reckon2 is enough. A LB and CB with Steph and Jo acting as cover. Steph can also cover Grav in MF too.
Lets see if Slot shares my views (probably not)

They have to play Everton, Us, Newcastle, Man Utd and Forest last game of the season. Only the Utd game is one where you could probably say they will easily get 3 points
Yeah like I said of all the contenders they have the toughest run in. Can't see them making Top 5, maybe not even 6th.

You keep missing the point - although I think you think too much of me.

The point is - that many young defenders don't really fulfil their potential, along the way they rightly make a lot of mistakes - someone like VVD (if you ever read his book) was full of early issues even at the national level. Can our club really afford to take on a youngster who really if you look at his record was not that good for Bournemouth. I also have this thing about the body shape of a player especially defenders - this kid looks lanky and skinny and I have a feeling if he puts on a bit of muscle and size he will be really slow and possibly get lots of injuries.

To say Quansah is not right there is a bit too far, he was our main guy last season if you recall - Slot because of his need to prove himself was not going to tolerate any mistakes but Q was good for the most part last season to the point where Konate lost his regular starts.

hey ? - he's what we need ? - I forgot he existed - that can only mean one thing - he is doing fuck all at Chelsea.
I saw somewhere that he creates the most chances in the PL, it's just that the players next to him are shite.

ok - he is 3 behind Salah in most big chances created. But he has the look of a player that is lost when things don't go right for him. We don't do players like that in our team.

Yeah that's the main complaint about him. Good player though, but I'm not sure about his attitude.

He got involved with some pornstar, and he has never been the same. It seems she sucked of more than just his penis, she took all focus away. He looked terrified at times with the ball. I didn't know if he was doing an impression of Trent or Bambi in the 6 yard box at times. He has improved but he remains a liability (but not as much as Robbo)
