If its a 1 year thing, I am coming around to the idea that he becomes a piece of quality off the bench. All depends what the cost is - if he's on sub 150k then its not dissimilar to Robbo's wages, who presumably has the same role (elder statesman who isn't fit to start every week but be a good squad influence etc.). However, its only really ok if there aren't other options who's levels can still increase at that wage level.
