I don’t have an issue with Mo, Ali and Virgil being used as examples and or whether if RM/Barca wanted them etc. But this was over 6-7 yrs ago and we are in need of rebuild. Recent signings have been mixed and avoid making signings is not an option. No more excuses this summer, previously Edwards have taken their fair share of credit for the massive success but it’s time they deliver again this summer.
It doesn't matter does it? They turned into world class players, we were the best team in Europe. Real and Barca signed other, higher profile players during that period who weren't as good as them. I trust our process more than I trust their scatter-gun cheque book.
Well I think you missed my point. I don't mind those singings and many have been successful. But for every Mane there's a Ox. And for every Van Dijk there's a Nunez.
My point is, whenever one of the big teams turns their attention on a player we're after, we're fucked.
Dembele, Goretzka and Bellingham all turned us down.
