Liverpool related transfer speculation

I never wanted any of them, I had become so acustomed to not signing , that winning the league last season and not signing made me bleieve in the FSG motto of spend fuck all amd gamble that titles will come. I feel embarassed by these shit signings we have made thus far where only one looks to be a good one in Ekitike. The rest are fucking shit (not counting Leo the defender), Bring back Diaz and Nunez Now !!!!

Bit OTT and premature to say embarassed and s**t. Frimpong has had 60mins, Kerkez clearly is not playing the same role he played at Bournemouth.

Wirtz I will give you that one "for now", so far hes been dreadful, looks completely lost, way way off the pace.

2 legit games into the season.

They have spent this season. Unlike previous season where we lacked in key positions, and I was the loudest to say it, but we have a very strong X1. The fall from Grav to to Endo is huge but all teams in the world have a weak spot.

Since Klopp's reign, the club has never really looked at Plan B unless you consider Endo, Kabak, Davies and Melo of which two were loans and never played and the other never donned the Jersey and was a manc fan.

If we don't get Isak and Guehi this summer, we know we have about £200m in the kitty for Jan

It’s Moron - I’m surprised he waited as long as two games in.
I have no issues saying what I do - as most of you do not appreciate one of our own. As I said at the time of signing Wirtz - I seen him play twice before he joined us, Europa Final, and against us in the CL last season - guess what ? - he was invisible and shit in both. So I am not surprised by his recent performances.

I do have hope that its just a case of us learning to play with a number 10 for the first time since .. Jari Litmanen and maybe Yossi Benayoun
Kerkez for whatever reason is not being used in the same way as last season
Frimpong - never rated him as a defender - seems a bit lightweight, but the fact he has a bit of a hammy after one intense game is a bit of a worry.

McConnell extension and loan to Ajax.

So, we convinced Brentford to lure away Hendo by giving them a discount on Kelleher so we'd have a good loan spot for McConnell.

Get it right - they have spent to replace. If we had the same squad as last season and replaced just Nunez with Ekitike and bought Wharton - we would still win the title.

Considering we had a 24-man squad last season (@StevieM can correct me), we were always going to sell players and bring in replacements.I’d love to have Wharton, but it creates a problem as he’d likely be a squad player, competing with Grav, who was arguably the best CDM in the Premier League last season. Personally, I don’t rate Endo or Curtis Jones highly, but at least they understand their place in the pecking order. No squad is perfect, but I believe we have a strong one. There are question marks over players like Kerkez, Wirtz, Robertson, and Konate, and it’s up to Slot to address those—that’s why he’s paid the big bucks.By the way, let’s look at the players you and I championed and how they’ve fared:
  • Nunez: Showed promise in his first season but struggled last season.
  • Fabio Carvalho: Mediocre at best.
  • Matheus Nunes: Decent at Wolves but underwhelming at Man City.
  • Thuram: Hasn’t exactly set Serie A alight.
  • Manu Koné: Similar story in the Bundesliga.
  • Ederson: Still at Atalanta, with no major clubs chasing him.
Unlike Klopp’s era, where Pep Lijnders scouted based on his experience in certain leagues, our current approach is data-driven, with less emphasis on gut feelings. There’s now a clear methodology rather than relying on one-off performances or instincts.
Before you accuse me of being a "Top, Top,Top Red", FSG have laid the cash out, I can't accuse them of anything. £130m for Isak is way above fair and Palace are required to sell Guehi so why would we pay the asking price?
Also, as we are so late in the window who are the alternatives?

We really can't win can we? We've had a really good transfer window and are clearly trying to strengthen the two main areas of concern (CB and ST) after spending more than we've ever spent on players who will bolster the team for the next few years. We really needed that injection and we got it. Whether you think it was money well spent is another thing, but it's two games in. Clearly we do need to tweak things, but clearly we have work to do in the transfer market and we have players to return from injury fully. I really don't get why people are getting all hysterical, and I'm usually the first to have a rant when things are clearly not right.

I'll be getting hysterical when we don't get guehi or Isak. I'll be getting annoyed when we only get 1 of them. I'll be fine if we get both

We need a DM, but I don't think it will happen in this window, but no one can say we haven't strengthened well elsewhere. I wonder if we are a bit more impressed with this young kid than we initially expected, and we feel we can get by with him, Gomez and Endo? I hope that's not the case, but you never know whether they might sway that way.

Personally I think we'll get both Isak and Guehi, if we don't then we are short, but Ekitike looks every bit a starting forward, it's not like we got a poor reserve and we're waiting on the real deal. If we get Isak I feel both will play together quite regularly. We get both (G&I) and we're smashing, we don't get them and we're a bit short and an injury away from a potential disaster. Amazing the difference those two players would make to everything. But I'm not having people flapping at what we "have" bought two games in, that's just a retarded Fifa generation wankerism.

Surely Leoni wouldn't have given up regular match time for a place on the bench at one of the best teams in the world? Of course he would ! However I'd love to know how they rate him in terms of match contributions this season.

I would throw him into the first 11 now, can't see him being any worse than the 2 games Konate has played for us.

Wouldn't Guehi be cup-tied for the Champions League Squad, with him featuring for Palace in Europe last week?.

LOL. Look at this idiot. 21 minutes on TAA returning to the PL. He's in Spain and reading Spanish sh#t. Reading and believing. LOL.

ps As I've written before he's ok w/ some stuff. But still an idiot. Believes all sorts of shit. Gets hyped up.
