That's a little OTT. I feel a little deflated. Its probably the right move, but its the end of an era which brought much happiness and a high level of expectation. Unless the ownership changes in a hurry I cannot see the new era living up.

I have wanted him gone for long enough, I started having doubts a couple of years ago now, when the same mistakes, and player issues kept recurring, and that was before there were problems with the purse strings.
I have always said whatever he did, he did for what he believed were the best interests of the club, and that he loved the club. Montse is a fantastic woman by his side.
Yes, I have some tinges of sadness now it's happened, but I know it is for the best , and Yes, there are concerns for the future, but we have to move from where we are, hopefully this is the start of many changes for the better.
Good luck Rafa, but you really have to learn from your mistakes and stop being so stubborn.

Isnt the only source of information that the players were still fully behind him G Balague? - the same Balague who wrote the biggest selling book on Rafa, that would have even made the RCDNW brigade blush, and wrote stories on his behalf in the press?

Plus, this is the same Balague who said that Rafa needs to rotate his players every 3 yrs because his attitude to players physical exertion means they are burnt out....

Now im not sure, but that isnt THE most attractive proposition for players is it? Lads, were going to be pretty negative, Im going to rotate alot, Im not really a people person so I probably wont talk to you, and in all likelihood I'll be looking for your replacement in a couple of years because you'll be fucked = undivided player loyalty?

If Rafa can get back to being a good manager, without all the political jockeying that seems to have distracted him over the last couple of years, then good on him, and I wish him luck.

Im sad that hes leaving - I would be even more upset if he were staying.
