There's seed for a plan there Ross , we could do a cash plus player deal, Dirk for Eto'o and £10m, I think Rafa would go for that

[/quote]Speaking at his unveiling at the San Siro yesterday, Benitez hailed Dalglish, who worked with him last year during his role as a youth ambassador, as "the best man for the job" and warned owners George Gillett and Tom Hicks to listen to growing calls by fans to appoint the Scot.
He said: "I think they should look at Kenny Dalglish. He is the best man for the job. The owners should listen to the fans because they are unhappy.
"No one knows the club better than Dalglish, and he would be perfect there. He wants the job and in my opinion he should get it."

Rafa Benitez signed in at Inter Milan yesterday, with a timely swipe at his predecessor, and the players at Liverpool who deserted him.
There is no love lost between the former Anfield boss and Jose Mourinho, the manager he succeeds at the Italian club, and that became immediately evident in the press conference the Spanish coach gave yesterday.
And in another pointed comment the former Liverpool chief suggested that he had no problem with 95 per cent of the squad he left behind on Merseyside, suggesting that a small number of players were responsible for his departure.
Many players at Anfield last season became frustrated with Benitez’s approach, particularly away from home, where Liverpool managed only 19 goals during the whole campaign.
That led to some splits in the camp, with reports of the manager completely losing the dressing, and it has been noticeable that only Javier Mascherano of the entire Liverpool squad has come out in support of the former boss since he was sacked.
But at his official unveiling yesterday he hit back by dismissing the suggestion the whole team was against him by the end of his reign, and instead he suggested there were only one or two players who were disgruntled.
“â€I had contact with 95 per cent of the players (after I left). Everything was fine, very good messages, very positive messages,†Benitez explained.
“The relationship is really good with the majority. Maybe you have some members of the team who are not happy, but it has been good.
“The club was fantastic, the fans were amazing, so it was a sad day when I had to go. But things change so I had to do it.
“I was in contact with (Steven) Gerrard when it was his birthday and everything was fine, it was good. He was trying to focus on the World Cup.â€
Benitez also vowed to try to win even more trophies than Mourinho, who claimed an historic treble last season, and pointedly, Benitez also hinted that he would do it by playing better football.
He said: “I don’t think I am the anti-Mourinho, but I am different. I am a coach who likes winning, who likes playing good football, though, so I don’t think we are different in that.
