The way he 'man marked' the little mexican today was horrendous and costed us the game.
We need a new not injured top class CB.

De Gimp , smalling , Jones , young and top of the shitecake , chicacock ....i hate them . Gutted we didn't get a win there .
Carra lost wellbeck and once he got the flick on you're always going to be in trouble .
Downing got better as the game went on but he needs to do more ...we all know £20m was inflated price which i can live with but i still expect more . We need assists and the odd goal .
Fair play to henderson he had some nice moments in the final few minutes but again i was left wondering what the point of his introduction was. Kenny obviously has alot of faith in his ability but it's very hard to be patient nowadays when results matter so much .
Would have put bellamy or the big man on myself but anyway .

You can't really blame Downing for the fact he didn't get an assist (I always think it's ridiculous to judge a player based on how well the guys he's teeing up are finishing)
He put Kuyt and Henderson in decent positions to score in the last 20 minutes. That's what he's there to do.

Yeah he was decent towards the end , i saw alot more of what i'd like to see from him. I meant more overall so far this season and his performance up until that last 15 mins . Actually , the final assist thing isn't really what i meant , it can be a useless stat , what i meant more was good creative attacking play and offering something in the build up ....basically not being shite and playing well .

Well yes, those extra 6 inches height would have made a difference ! However I though Hendo was great for the time he was on, a marked improvement on Lucas and the way we then dominated the MF.

Glimpses ? is that enough for a 27 yr old International and member of our first team ? Maybe i am being too harsh or impatient with these players but i want to be right up there and long term i don't know if these lads (recent signings) are good enough to get us there.
