Middle East Violence (content may offend)

Not easy when the other side has arms designated to hurt you.
Not sure where the expectation that Hamas survives and carries on stems from.
Hamas will cease to exist; it can choose when that happens and save many lives in the process for both sides.

Maybe if the naive idiots of the west and the antisemite trash would turn their criticism towards the terror organization that would really benefit the situation and the people in the region.

UK-Israeli relations have plunged to their worst state for decades after the British foreign secretary, David Lammy, suspended negotiations over a new free trade deal, saying Israel’s cabinet ministers’ calls to “purify Gaza” by expelling Palestinians were repellent, monstrous and extremist.

You're not allowed to directly quote when the Jews actively use genocidal statements to push their holy war rhetoric.

It's actually anti semitic.

Former Israeli PM Ehud Olmert: Israel's actions in Gaza 'very close to a war crime'

The former Israeli prime minister Ehud Olmert has said that what Israel “is doing now in Gaza, is very close to a war crime” during an interview with the BBC.

Olmert, who was prime minister from 2006 to 2009, told the BBC that Benjamin Netanyahu’s government were waging “a war without a purpose – a war without a chance of achieving anything that can save the lives of the hostages.”

He said that the “obvious appearance” of the campaign was that Israel was killing many Palestinians, and that “from every point of view, this is obnoxious and outrageous.”

He said that the Israeli government had to be more clear that it was “fighting the killers of Hamas, we are not fighting innocent civilians.”

He's obviously an anti-semite.

That's one thing that pisses me off.

Almost everything now is "antisemitic".

Its like in medieval times when if someone didn't like a woman, they could just cry Witch.

I mean I don't like Lineker very much, but he was cancelled over an emoji of a Rat.

We call Trent a Rat. Does that make us antisemitic?

Trent- no cos that's racism
Calling Bruno a rat faced cunt also isn't anti semitism.
And neither is calling Neville a rat.

Your also not allowed any octopus stuffed toy, cos that's anti semitism.

That's my point. Is a rat really to do with religion? Or have we gone too soft?

Rats remained a useful symbol for those who wished to portray their targets as inhuman for most of the 20th century. Most familiar and alien of all, perhaps, is the range of animalistic imagery that came to stand for Jews in the build-up to the second world war. In Der Stürmer, Nazi Germany’s most influential propaganda sheet, a cover image depicted a Nazi gassing Jewish rats that huddle around the base of a mighty tree. “When the vermin are dead,” the caption reads, “the German oak will flourish once more.”

There's plenty of imagery but as it's not Tik Tok, so I thought this would do.

Surprised by your ignorance.

It's a hang up from the holocaust and the portrayal of Jews as rats/cockroaches etc.
In an effort to really dehumanise Jews and make it seem ok to kill them. Less to do with religion and more race I suppose.

Kinda like what the Jews are now doing to Palestinians in Gaza now.
So you know full circle and that

Calling groups of people rats and cockroaches isn’t exclusively used on Jews. Take a walk through Bootle strand and you could use that on a proportion of the people there.

I suppose the argument is it isn't used in Bootle to perpetrate, or lay the groundwork for a genocide.

That's weird logic ... calling groups of people 'monkeys' isn't exclusively used on blacks either. Just take a walk through Central/Southern America or Asia and see what dark skinned folks are called (like some of us have who aren't ... well ... white)

Cheese eating surrender monkeys?

Its obviously not something that should be used, but I'd never come across it before, and by the sounds of it Linekar hadn't either, I don't think it can be racist to not be aware of something that is racist.

Do you like Octopi Acce or are you a like a closet anti semite

Just like kalamari -

Come now - didn't he get into 'trouble' last year for comparing migrant policy to 1930s Germany and the Holocaust? So he knows about that but not about the Nazi imagery they used in that time period? So you either are excusing him for being thick/ignorant or a liar ...

Atlas is the only one who knew - proper education that lad has!

Maybe he did, I dunno. I didn't.

Linekar didn't explicitly mention holocaust, just that the language around migrants and boats was not too dissimilar to the way 1930s Germany used language to dehumanise a population.

Just that you know we should be less Nazi like

He said, as you note, "not dissimilar to that used by Germany in the 30s" ... so I'll remove 'the Holocaust' bit which is what the outcome was.
He knows about langauge etc in the 1930s used against primarily one group (and less so against blacks, homosexuals, etc) - but not the cartoons used? I mean, he either knows nothing about what was done in the 30s, or he doesn't ... or maybe he's just thick.
Oh well, this is boring now 🙂

onto the transfer shit ... Murabeho Mwirirwe

Yup, sounds about right.
Boring.

Whole place levelled and it's boring right?
tens of thousands murdered.. boring.
Genocide is evil when committed against the Jews, otherwise boring.

Feel compelled to come out and freak out about emojis, not so much about the same tactics used by Jews when describing Palestinians.

Boring was about a specific subject (and nothing else) I was discussing with Gerry, and then you.
Everything else you typed is opinions you're attributing to me that I never said or discussed.
Why that is I don't know, but I will not bother responding to you going forward.
Have a wonderful day.

Wow.. Benji really starting to sound like Putin with that latest rant.

All about how 1200 Israelis were killed. Not one word on the amount of civilians Israel have murdered since.

A few months ago what looked like a Roman salute wasn't anti semitism or Nazi related from Bibi and ADL.
Free Palestine is however the same as a nazi slogan.

It goes back to the anti semitism thing earlier, everything critical or criticising is being pushed as off limits

Its because they're the victims, don't you know this by now Atlas?

They've been committing war crimes for decades. We're conditioned to accept it.
