Over the course of the season he was our best player by a country mile, never bitched or whined about he shit squad or tried to effect transfer policy or even threaten to leave, he's shown nothing but respect for the club in the 12 months he's been here.

Its a massive surprise and in my books mistake to even consider shipping him off unless theres a BIG signing coming in to replace him.

Regardless of whether he stays or goes, respect to Ming, he's quality.

Selling Ming would be a massive mistake on our part. Rather give Aquilani away at the quoted 12M

My question is why are we selling Meireles?
Isn't he settled?
Are we using him to get another player?
Is Charlie Adam his replacement?

I just find this rumour weird and depressing.

Unless he wants to go I cannot for the life of me see why we are selling Raul

I'm a fan of Meireles as well, but weird praise to give him.

He's been here for two minutes - why should he be praised for not trying to affect transfer policy or whatever?

That's confusing him with players who have been here for a while and are big stars. Meireles, good as he's been, will know his place.

Because, keni, the only reason I can see for him leaving is that he's not settled in england or not happy or whatever.

And you would never tell that from his performances on the pitch and personality off the pitch over the past 12 months. It's quite refreshing, in my opinion.

Appaz he's of to juventius. Melo an cash appaz 13.5 mil. If it happens I'll be doing loads of sad faces. He's peach la. He's boss.

Done a great job in his first Season here but I can understand why we are cashing in.

He's behind Gerrard, Lucas and Henderson in the pecking-order in central midfield and with Kenny wanting Adam he'd be only fourth of fifth choice.

He's not good enough to play on the right in a 4-3-3 for a whole Season and as such £10M-whatever is a lot of cash here and now to move towards other areas.

Midfielder Felipe Melo is unhappy at reports that Juventus have offered him as part of a bid to sign Liverpool's Raul Meireles.

The Anfield club have already landed Jordan Henderson this summer and are expected to complete a deal for Blackpool captain Charlie Adam.

Less than a year after his £10million arrival from Porto, Meireles could consequently be sacrificed in order to make room in Kenny Dalglish's squad.

Liverpool are said to have told Juventus that they can have the Portugal playmaker for £13m, and the Italian club are understood to be prepared to offer Melo and cash.

The defensively-minded Brazilian has been linked with Arsenal in the past, but he is disappointed at suggestions he could be a makeweight in any Meireles move.

"Let us say that Juve are not respecting me, or at least that's the impression I get," he is quoted as saying in the Daily Mirror.

"I'm not just anyone. I'm not a bargaining chip to be used."

its not like we'll be playing the same players every week though. As long as he would be happy to be rotated it's obscene to consider getting rid

I wouldn't mind him in the squad at all Birthday-kid but I can understand if he's one we're cashing in on. All I'm saying.

Have a good one btw 🙂

He's more of a midfield-terrier in the Masher mould. And he chips in now and then. Don't know if he'll be a better option though.

Melo is fuckin shit. Appaz. Not seen him but any player that wins an award for being the shittest player in a season must be shit right?

Does he play for Mali by any chance?

I don't want any midfielders from Juve.

None of them are very good and we're still smarting from the last one they offloaded onto us.

I meant generally. Sissoko is alright but I was thinking Diarra the other Diarra or the third Diarra. Maybe even Matuidi or Mvila. Anyone in the Makelele mould.

Are we selling Ming because we cant get rid of Boggle eye? He's been whored around by his agent for months now and no one is biting at the fee we want. Although I am totally against his sale, Ming will command a fee at the moment. Aqua may come back and make something of his Liverpool career so it makes sense from a financial point of view.

Boggle eye? Aquaman? Sure, his eyes close together but I wouldn't call him Boggle eyed.

Anyway, why are we dealing with Juventus since they shafted us already.

Kennoili will lose a lot of credibility if this happens. We've got youth coming through, new owners, finally some cash, and we're making duff signings all over the place, and getting rid of a ray of light? It's hopefully rumors but if it happens, I'll have lost a LOT of faith

Does seem to be going like Kenny said in regards to doing things behind closed doors. I mean i don't think anyones really got much of a clue who we're signing.

A good player who spent no time settling in.. NExt season can be even better for him!! I do not want Adam in instead of him no matter how many penalties he scores per season!!

If it (selling Ming for 13.5m or getting that garbage Melo in part-ex or trading down for Adam) happens, they'll lose more than credibility. They'll lose their heads when I'm through bashing them in.

Many very unhappy faces if this comes off. Shit shit shit rumour.
