7ft4 former basket ball player plays for some minor club somewhere. He is sh1t. The Modeen of world football, not one touch.
*Modeen is an influencer with a few rocks loose. He is famous in the influencer boxing circuit for not being able to throw punch. I have included Modeen match, where he lost. At the end of one of the rounds he tells his coach, he is afraid Wakey Wines guy will punch him

This is certainly one, of several, factors to why we’re off this season.

Virgil van Dijk described the death of Diogo Jota and his brother Andre Silva in July as a devastating experience for the squad:

Its not an excuse. Its one of many factors to why we’re off.

And playing football at that level is a lot more stressful than any crap reguler job.

Yeah. Tell that to a nurse doing double shifts over Crimbo so that her single mum colleague can spend time with her kids or to a paramedic who's on his last legs because he's got to clean his ambulance car of vomit for the third time in between saving lives of drunk car drivers not knowing if they're able to pay their mortgages next month. By the way, they'd all get ONE extra day off for the funeral if their parent dies - at least that's the law here. For a guy from work you'd have to chalk a day off from your yearly vacation days.


I bet it's really more stressful to pick the colour of your fifth Lambo or whether your next Rolex is gold or platinum.
 
Don't get me wrong. My best friend died at 19 and I was depressed for a year and kinda disappeared into a hole. I can well believe it makes a difference. But it also motivated me to do something with my life and not waste it. I don't reckon it's not gonna affect them on the day to day, but I also reckon all those new plAyers makes it more tough because they aren't trying to win for him

You had to pick one of the most stressful jobs that excist to try and prove your point.
It’s only valid for 0,8% of the Worlds population though. And it’s a given that it’s very stressful.

It’s quite clear that being a professional footballer is extremely stressful. The money side of it is a small part. Performing infront of millions of people. Every part of your life scrutinized in social media. Every mistake you make will be on every platform, everywhere. Not being able to go anywhere you like without being in the spotlight.
I’d liked to see you try and then come back and say it’s fucking easy.

How people grieve and how they process sorrow is very individually.
It’s not an excuse but it’s quite obvious a factor. Might be small, but a factor.
Seeing as they operate in an elite environment (or just a regular job according to Holle), it’s quite clear that just a few percentages reduced of your usual top level will have a negative impact.
Sports at that level are decided on fine margins.
