Potentially won’t be much of a fee but with Saudi and MLS clubs interested I’d be disappointed if it’s below 35-40 mill £.
We’ll also get rid off his 450k per week wages.
MLS?I have a suspicion we won't get much of a fee for Mo if we sell in January. From a buyer's perspective, they will assume that we want to get him out of the club because:
(a) He's toxic right now; and
(b) His wages are a massive drain for someone who isn't doing it.
Normally I'd cite his commercial value in support of the costs, but with the damage his image just took (certainly from an LFC point of view) then that value will have dropped too.
So if we assume the Saudi clubs are getting more savvy about how things work rather than throwing cash around like they did when the league first tried to raise its profile, then they'll know that they don't need to offer silly money to persuade us to let him go. It's entirely possible that Ramy and Mo know this and engineered this current situation, but that assumes he is willing to go to the Saudi League, and I'm not sure his ego is ready for that yet.
The ideal scenario for us would be that two or more clubs want him and there's a bidding war.
But if he doesn't want to go and play there then we are struggling because it's unlikely any major European player is going to pay him what he'll want, and it would need to be a club with a well-established commercial operation to get the most out of the deal.
There's also the possibility that he has been told - I mean it's not a secret it's all over the TV and written media and everyone was calling for him to be dropped - but his ego is just not willing to accept it. He's watching his performances back with his Mo Salah tinted glasses on (borrowed from a couple on here).I mean - he should 100% have handled this behind closed doors and you have to assume from Mo's statement to the press that it was not being handled, or any decisions made clear behind the scenes.
If it was data driven, that data should be shared to Mo by a coach, explained in detail.
Knowing our great 'head coach' - he hasn't done this, cos he's a numpty
I think if he goes to a Mickey Mouse league he goes to Saudi as there'll be more money in it for him.MLS?
Were you around at the club when we were deaing with Suarez? We recovered from that on multiple occassions so I assume we have protocols in place.I have a suspicion we won't get much of a fee for Mo if we sell in January. Can MLS clubs afford such a fee? Would be almost double the current record.
I'd be disappointed with anything less than £75m if I'm honest. Especially from Saudi.
Yes, I was there. The precise details were fairly well-guarded so I don't have a great deal of extra insight to offer. What I will say is that Suarez was a very different (calmer) character off the pitch than on it. There wasn't a huge ego there and people generally liked him. All of the incidents on the pitch were generally dismissed as a product of his strong will to win (i.e. at all costs). Were you around at the club when we were deaing with Suarez? We recovered from that on multiple occassions so I assume we have protocols in place.
Qatar own PSG.PIF own the main clubs in Saudi so I can't see much of a bidding war materialising over there. Maybe Saudi owned PSG would throw their hat in the ring, but I've seen nothing to say they need him.
He's not travelling

People are already talking about 100 mill plus for Anderson. That’s way too much, even if he is good.Mo out.
Guehi & Elliot Anderson in.
Hold tight for whoever comes in for Slot in the summer and bolster from there.
I have a feeling Anderson's value is going to more than double this summer after the WC.

Mo laughing and smiling with the others in training makes the management look weak as piss. Look at what I can get away with?
It is shite
Yes, it is difficult. I agree. And he should be allowed to train.Well, or he's off, because they are attempting to force a sale. I don't think it would help to not allow him to train. He isn't traveling, right? It's just a fucked situation that he's made worse.
I think Salah is a shit for this, but even I don't think he deserves to be frozen out entirely if these are his last days at the club. That's the credit I'll afford him. Not playing indefinitely, not getting to act like a cunt, but a bit of decency.
For Mo. to move to Saudi it would be about family, religion and fanbase IMO. However he could be looking at Messi and thinking, I'd like a bit of that too.I think if he goes to a Mickey Mouse league he goes to Saudi as there'll be more money in it for him.
I know MLS will be able to pay him a fair wedge, but the Saudis will top anything he gets offered from MLS. And if they weigh in Ramy with a huge fee then it'll happen.
Yeh he could have handled it better.I still can’t get past Mo’s “I don’t have to prove anything to the manager any more” (or something like that)…from a 33 year old grown ass man that’s the mark of real immaturity and a cosseted ego. If he still doesn’t get, after 8 years, what it means to play for our club and supporters, then he’s a busted flush here and can join Ronaldo and all the other deluded narcissists that believed their own hype over being part of a collective.
He’s had a brilliant career at Anfield but has benefitted hugely from having a bunch of players around him running themselves into the ground to compensate for his lack of defensive duty. Mane had enough of pulling his load when he was arguably just as important and the lesser (but still excellent) Diaz took the mantle of double workload on the other flank for the last 3 seasons. Hendo, Szobo, Trent, Bradley and many more have all suffered for Salah’s unicorn role and how quick he is to forget. Salah’s legend status and unbelievable numbers is due in part to his brilliance, in part to his greed and in part to the selfless work of others…and now he’s petulantly throwing stones at his teammates, the club, the manager because he’s had to start on the bench three times after a string of shit performances.
He’s embarrassed himself and let his legacy down.
