He’s been poor all season, yet still had the nerve to publicly call out the manager and create unnecessary noise around the club, after being rightfully benched, making it all about him.

It was a step in the right direction imo and was he fuck in Halls pocket.

He left Hall for dead when he poked wide, he got multiple passes and crosses past him, he set up Wirtz for his goal and also had a couple of beautiful turns away from Hall with his back to goal.

Was it a great performance? No.

Was he in Halls pocket? Also No.

He’s our top assister in the league this season so ya it’s a whopdi-fucking-do.

Nobody else in red has as many as him in the league and many have played a lot more games than him.

Hate him all you like but adding his goals and assists could make the difference.

Salah was a 4 or so in 1st half, 6.5-7 in 2nd half.

To say hall didnt dominate him because of Salah fast break op (wish hed have scored that) is weird - as he lost the ball many times.amd caused little trouble to him.

However, Newcastle was the first team in a while to double him a few times ... that was interesting from howe.

Salah is clearly on the decline, but I hope he hits a good patch and scores/assists enough to guarantee top 4 and a deep run in cl.

I think the best way for him to do the above, if possible, is to realize hes our 3rd option when we attack. If he plays that way, hell be more dangerous and will help this team achieve some more success.

The fact he's always making good moves on the right to give us an outlet is great, him beating the offside trap most of the time is also great. The fact that he gets dispossessed or passes straight to an opponent most of the time is shite and demoralizing. Yes, once out of those many occasions he will get an assist or a goal, but my god does his wastefulness put the team under immense pressure.
I just hope our data nerds have a great replacement lined up in the summer. We need to find the next Salah/Mane.

He's been better since his return from AFCON and for all the frustration (and hate in some quarters), it was nice to see him score again the other day. I was willing for him to score again last night, particularly on that break.

But, unless you're on a wind up or have an agenda, it's still very obvious that right now he's still quite a ways off what we need (nevermind his past levels).

Ideal world - we win a cup, someone comes in with a nice offer, and everyone parts ways happy.

We can't do another season of this. We need fresh blood (not fucking Frimpong).

We said that 2 seasons ago, we needed younger and fresher option. Also said Semenyo was the right man but didn't happen.
We are talking about what we have till end of season and what we need to do, unfortunately we only have really viable and fit option so honestly don't see the point of moaning about it for next few months, hopefully Frim can come back and offer that option and maybe Szbo once in a while.
