He's 16 years old - how can he be under-rated when he's taken with the first team on tour ?!
MacAllister - I don't think we realize what a gem of a midfielder we have in our engine room ... he'd walk into any team's midfield - be it club or international level.

i think i jokingly tried to start a fan club on here for him when he arrived. he’s exactly my sort of player but yea there’s a lot of water carrying and donkey work to his game that is definitely taken for granted. proper team player.
Gakpo. I think that after Jota (RIP), he has the best finishing rate of the attackers (haven't looked up the data to confirm, but it's a feeling I have).
He's actually marginally outscored Diaz across all competitions in each of these 2 seasons (16 and 18 versus 13 and 17). I looked at the Player of the Season votes here, and there are 20 points separating the two of them in Diaz's favour.
Now, I don't think Diaz is overrated, in fact, I agree with others here that he seems to be underappreciated. Gakpo is less flashy and also less showered with plaudits, but I think he's more efficient and lethal.

I agree Diaz is under-rated but it seems we've decided to sell him... which is why i came on today in fact... a shame

How could Diaz be under-rated? He seems very well rated in here.
My gripe is he is never the cause of any bad results just because he runs and runs all day. I get the endeavour but the lack of quality is stark. We are Liverpool, challenging for major titles and the point is that we cannot have our left FW producing next to nothing in big games.
Of course I recognise as well by now that I am in the very minority in having this view.
