So a keeper who positions himself poorly & does a cat flip to claw a ball around the post, is better than the guy who is in the perfect position and catches the ball against his chest?

If the keeper is in the center of the goal (where he should be) and a shot comes straight at him, he's expected to save it.
Just because a keeper positions himself in the center and he saves shots that come at the center, it's a solid save, but not really legendary.
A keeper who adjusts his feet, makes his way over to the posts, or leaps up and tips it over the bar,
OR has an amazing record at 1-on-1's (like Allison), gets the plaudits.
Even the close stop in the second half, we was where he's expected to be.
For me, Courtois did a good bread and butter job, with one great save (the one on one with Sboz). But the praise was too much.
