It seems that half my office didn't come in this morning (when it wasn't snowing) just because they were worried about the journey home.

I have faith that the trains will get me home with no delay! If they don't, I will complain to people but I think to assume that we will fuck up is a bad place to get to.

Meanwhile over in New Brighton:

I was getting worried about you for a while there Sunny. No report for 2 hours. Though you got lost in a drift.

We have it very rarely though mate. You lot are used to it and thus invest heavily in infrastructure to support it. I mean most people there will have cars and/or winter tyres to help you get around over here people generally don't.

You lot? Thought you were one of us mate

*sobs*

There's enough snow for us to build a moderately sized snowman in my back.

It's not currently snowing.

#end of weather report#

Any spares for tomorrow? Two friends are going over for the match and got scammed by by some guy on "donedeal".

Not that I've heard of. There may be a few spares due to the weather though. I can look out for some in the King Harry if you like Jack. Not sure if Krump has any

They're going to ticket office at 9am. Gave them my fancard number . I dont know if that will help. Can u let me know if you hear of anything?

Indeed it is! I scored a ticket off Spion. Can't wait *watches rail updates nervously*

Hopefully meet you in the Harry Jack 🙂

-18 degrees celsius here in Stockholm today (colder than a fucking freezer) no big deal.

A little snow in England and the whole country colapses.

Its such a misconception. Someone said it earlier, the furore about how the country cant cope is much bigger than the actuality of it.
People just get about their business. Schools generally close but thats about it.

Yeah, cos spending millions on the infrastructure to do that, & millions more every year to look after it, is a great idea for the one week out of 52 that it actually matters.

I could have spent £60 on snow shoes for the car, or hundreds more on winter tyres. Instead I'll simply put my wellies on & walk to the bus stop today. For the exact same reason.

I would usually find it hard to believe someone was being snobbish about their country having shit weather for longer than our country, but then I remembered who it was I was replying to.

Theres a pair and 3 singles going for today. If anyone is interested let me know. I'll be out and about this morning but you can get my number of Oncy, FFF, Ross, Squonk or Woland. I'm not posting it on here.

Of course we're used to extreme weather here, I was just teasing.
My cousins live in Oxford and they say that the roads there are a nightmare during snowy conditions. I heard that it's not mandatory to have snow tires, is that true?

Thats true. We really dont get that much snow and the layout of about £600 for 1 week a year is a lot for some

We had that last year , but they cancel matches as the surrounding streets are icy, that is what irritates me, the Nanny State (or in this case council) knowing what is best for us again

They've been busy with the grit around the stadium, appaz.
