[article]Real Balompedica Linense have signed former Liverpool and Manchester City striker Bobby Duncan.

Duncan, who is a cousin of Reds legend Steven Gerrard, is now 21 and has penned a four year deal with the Spanish outfit.

Real Balompedica Linense, which play in the Tercera Division, confirmed his arrival, saying: "Real Balompédica Linense is pleased to announce the signing of British midfielder Bobby Duncan until 2025.

"The new and talented attacker is a footballer with great projection, with good individual technical quality, offensive combination capacity and final pass, precision with his left foot and a goalscorer."

The striker played under Wayne Rooney at Derby County for the last two seasons but made just one appearance.

He also struggled in his year at Fiorentina, failing to break into the first-team and only scoring four goals in 12 games for the under-19s.

[article]Former Liverpool and Manchester City striker Bobby Duncan has hit back at his former agent Saif Rubie today.

This morning on talkSPORT former Crystal Palace chairman Simon Jordan revisited Duncan's departure from Liverpool with his agent at the time, Rubie.

Duncan has moved to Spanish Third Division Real Balompedica Linense this season.

During the conversation, Rubie defended his role in Duncan's controversial departure from Anfield.

The striker later responded on social media, stating: "You and I both know the truth.

"I didn't have a decision nor say as you took it upon yourself to jeopardise my career and to turn a local lad away from his boyhood club and leave me and my family to pick up all the pieces.

"Not once have I spoken upon this top in '4 years' as it's been my main priority to get my career back on track. But, yet you think you have the right to mention my name on a live radio show.

"The truth will be told by myself when the time is right.

"I should never have trusted my career in your hands. I have learnt my harsh lesson there. And I just pray you have learnt yours as it could ruin another young boy's career.

"And lastly, just to clarify, there was no advising given as you point blank made your mind up, publicly."[/article]

"The truth will be told by myself when the time is right."
is code for, "I don't have a response, nor truth, so I'll throw shade and pretend I do"

If only he’d had a relative, like a cousin for example, who was a professional footballer that he could have turned to for some advice.

Poor wee lad.

Valverde has been played "out of position" to accommodate to the central midfield of Kroos, Modric and Tchouameni, but even then, he has continued to develop and impress. More than 150 app for RM, at the age of 24. Not that I think we'll have any chance of getting him but this is the profile of players I hope we are targeting - ready for the XI, not "stop gap"/"waiting to be developed".
