If newcastle were holding on to enrique, nolan and barton then Demba ba might be the start of something to build on but by the looks of things they'll be losing all 3 and will struggle next season.

They've brought in a couple of players already though it seems (I think they've been the most active club in the transfer market along with Norwich), albeit on free transfers and stuff.

Mehdi Abeid (Lens) - free transfer
Yohan Cabaye (Lille) - €5m (£4.3m)

Me too.. Lesser of two evils and all that. United look set to miss out on Sanchez and Sneijder(sp?) too, who else would they be after? They REALLY need to strengthen their midfield.
