I just heard* that Barca are preparing a £40M bid + players for Bendtner.

Don't know if it's true.

Wouldn't bet against it though.

*I said it out loud.

Yeah heard that Dave, apparently Spurs have said no, Modric had said he was staying a week or so ago aswell. I hope they don't get him 🙁
[/quote]

Redknapp told the BBC: "Luka is not for sale. If there has been a bid of £22m that is ridiculous. There are people being sold for £20m who are not fit to lace Luka's boots."

Is it me or is there sarcasm (directed elsewhere) in it? :🙂

There is in most of the things he says. He did a bit of a tongue in cheek interview last week with regards to the Henderson transfer. I thought it was anyway.

I must've missed that interview.

Sao Paulo's young midfielder Casemiro has been linked with a move to Serie A champions AC Milan.

Folha de S. Paulo reports that the Italian giants will soon make an offer of around $18 million (€12.7 million) for the 19-year-old.
- brought him in FM before 😛

Barcelona B striker Jonathan Soriano rumoured to be following Luis Enrique to Roma
- scored 32 goals in just 37 appearances in the Spanish Second Division, leading Barcelona B to 3rd place in 2nd Division

Bologna’s Emiliano Viviano, understudy to Juventus veteran Gigi Buffon on the Azzurri stage, is a possible summer transfer target for Premiership giants Arsenal.

Viviano’s future, however, is somewhat complicated to decipher seeing as he is currently part-owned by Bologna and Inter.

According to Sky Sport Italia, Mirko Vucinic's agent Alessandro Lucci is in negotiations with Juve this evening and will meet with Roma later today to discuss a departure.
- why is it they are allowed to talk before a fee is agree? ???

Gervinho to the Arse is apperantly done. Good signing.

Yep, he'll be a big hit at a relatively (in this shit-crazy world) low fee.

Regardless of how Henderson's career pans out, Redknapp has a point. Modric cost 17mil, has been great since, and is only 25 himself. With the fees flying about now, he must be worth well over 30mil.

Arsenal apparently had an offer of Denlison + cash for Shakhtar Donetsk's Douglas Costa rejected. Replacement for Nasri?

Does the modric to chelsea thing remind anyone else of the torres transfer? Am I remembering wrong or did they
do the same then, bid and then the player decided he wanted to leave?

Well, thats Modric finished at Spurs then..

"I would like to go to Chelsea. A lot of players would like to go there and play for Chelsea because it is one of the best clubs in the world, and so do I. I would like to play there. But we will see what will happen. Chelsea are a great club, they play in the Champions League every year, they have great players, they are ambitious and have an ambitious owner who wants to invest in the club and make it win the Champions League, the Premier League and other titles.

"They are going in a great direction and everything about the club is very good. They [Chelsea] are the only one who sent an offer and they are at the moment my first choice."

Yes, first thing that came to my mind. Our days of laughing at Torres might be over if Modric joins them. Unless Modric gets a bad injury after joining - in which case, we'll be laughing at the two of them.

"They are going in a great direction"

LOL, their team is so old I can't even think of a metaphor for how old they are, we've exhausted all of them. Just say you want to remain in London and get a bigger paycheck, Modric, we understand.

To say that even before the transfer has occurred is unforgivable. What an absolute grade A cunt. I'd laugh at most spurs fans at the moment because I'm sure they are spitting with anger, but If a player at Liverpool had pulled this stunt I'd have the cunt assassinated.

Redknapp is a complete dick. I fucking hate the candle faced cunt. This is the man who values Gareth Bale at £100m. Knobhead.

I think Fernando might take an action against him for copyright on that

Premiership players will be all over Modric like a rash next time out and he'll fade like that other midget one good season wonder Arshavin over at the Emirates. Let the Chavs pay a kings ransom for the spindlier version of Benayoun, they deserve it.

Modric isn't a one season wonder. He's been very good for them since he signed. He'll be great at chelsea, unfortunately.

Re: Re: Other clubs speculation thread

Modric would turn Newcastle into a top 6 side ffs. Stupidly talented

Re: Re: Other clubs speculation thread

He needs someone next to him to be the muscle and to win the ball back. Essien and Mikel will do that nicely

Cocks

Someone posted a stat that showed that Aqua has more assists than Modric in the Premier Leaguecsince 2009...

I'm not sure it'll work out exactly like that. Modric himself can put his foot in when required - you wouldn't want him to have to do so most of the time, but he can if needed. He may have to if Essien and Mikel play like they did for a fair bit of last season.

?? Been said yet?

Coming to the age of 26, being at a club like Spurs, the only other way to challenge for top honours is to move for a bigger club. Granted they are improving but with us in the resurgence and Man City continuing their cash-splashing, I thought it's understandable for him to want a move. Obviously its the club he's linked to that might irk us. Berbatov left Spurs at 27 and Carrick did so at 25. Think its a crossroad in terms of age.

Fellani wants out?

Fellaini keen to move on from Everton
June 18, 2011

Everton's Marouane Fellaini has insisted that he will move on in search of Champions League football, claiming the club are not at the right level for him.

Fellaini, 23, cost Everton £15 million three years ago and has attracted the attention of Europe's elite with his performances for the Toffees, as Chelsea, Manchester City and Real Madrid have all been linked. An ankle injury ruined his prospects last season, but the Belgium international is adamant that he can do better than his current surroundings.

"One thing is certain, I want to play in a team that wins trophies and play in the Champions League,'' he told Belgian media. ''Everton is a team of sub-top."

The midfielder has a contract which expires in 2013, although talks have broken down over a possible extension.
