What have we stolen from a rival team, in English, verbatim?

I’d also steal Sunshine On Leith from Hibs.

In the chorus we change the words “while the chief puts sunshine on Leith” to “While the chief, King Kenny Dalglish….”

A few other minor changes needed but it’s doable.

None of these examples are the same as this, at all.

Compare the lyrics of any of these songs. The inspiration for the Liverpool versions is "this is a great tune for football" and then one was written around that song.

The arsenal song is, let's use this exact same song in the exact same way, changing some proper nouns along the way.

It is embarrassing. It is creatively bankrupt. It is small time.

... and there are no examples of us stealing a song from Premier League rivals. We, except for "U - N - I - T - E - D, Bryan Robson's got VD ..." but that's about turning their song against them, not stealing it for our own use

I can't believe there's anyone defending that rip off lol. It's so shameless that you almost have to admire the chutzpah. But there's no irony about it - no sly reference to the fact they nicked it or anything. It's mental.

I'm sure some of our older staples about the 'team' have been shamelessly stolen by us over the years.

The Chiesa one stings because its so recent to when we started singing it, and because they have only changed the names. Its just lazy.

After stealing Allez, Allen, Allen, the Diaz song.. (I'm sure I'm missing another...) just feels like they want to be us.
