I don't get the new handball rules.

I personally think Man U deserved the pen yesterday. Unnatural position of the arm and the ball heading towards goal. Pen for me.

However, the one against Spurs, funny as it may have been, is an absolute joke. He has his back turned. The ball isn't even heading towards goal. Yes the arm is arguably in an unnatural position but like I said, it didn't really stop a goalscoring opportunity, also it was from close range.

So far, we've only benefited from it, but they're gonna fuck us too. It's coming.

Is it worth mentioning that Pep seemed to lose the plot there?

Subbed Fernandinho for fuck knows why, puts Delap on & changes to 4-4-2. That's when Leicester started running the game.

Yet pundits are banging on about Aguero being missing. It was a tactical error as much as anything else imo
He needs to reclaim his mandigan, that distressed jumper looked like an impulse buy from TK Max's.🙂

Anybody watched Barcelona-Villareal? From the highlights it looked like a very strange Villareal performance – they didn't seem to put up any resistance at all.

The hand ball rules iterations every year feel like a move to remove any subjectivity from
Referees and just to try and simplify things for VAR but that’s just not possible with current technology and even less so with certain scenarios like hand balls.

I read the rule, and it doesn't seem any different than any previous year in a meaningful way. It hinges, still, in text on a subjective question of what is "unnatural" or "unnaturally bigger."

The latter is an odd choice of words.

At any rate rather than deal with the inconsistency that everyone yelled at them for last season, they've gone for the all inclusive option, and interpreted in a bizarre way. Its obviously a decision made by all the refs, but that's odd, because it doesn't reflect the law.

They seem to have thought that last seasons criticism over inconsistency was avoidable. It wasn't. That will always happen. This solves that problem in the same way that a guillotine solves a headache.
