One blip, he had one blip! The manager that got us a CL win from nothing. You know about the ownership situation Rafa had to go through as well.

You were ready to give another year to the person who spent like £120 million on transfers and got us 7th and one of the worst seasons in the history of the club.

Don't you feel a bit ashamed when you're on me about Rafa being the safe choice?

I remember that people like judge, spion, count, Mark, etc called me, Ryan and other posters cunts for wanting Kenny out. Like it was blasphemy or something.

You were called a cunt because you were being completely disrespectful to a club legend, not because you wanted him replaced

So the 1/2 season at Inter was something we should ignore ... but Chelsea we should take into account ... No bias there.

Took a 2nd place team in Serie A, spent 100 million to finish 3rd (and farther away from Juventus) and won a cup ... So he took the team backward (

Yes, I was willing to give an extra year to Kenny. He got it wrong, and I didn't really complain when he was let go/resigned because I understood the owners (just like any rational fan understood why they stayed the hell away from Rafa).

I'm not ashamed at all - thanks for asking!

As for your last sentence - and your re-writing of history to suit your realistic, pragmatic approach - Ryan (I don't remember how you talked about it) was pissing all of Kenny when he very well knew (I assume you do too) what the man has meant to the club on and especially off the pitch. That's what rubbed people the wrong way. Insulting a man like that continually was just an absolute piss take ... Then again, considering your eagerness to disparage other club legends, I guess we shouldn't be that surprised?

We got the right manager now ...

A Rafa debate.... Yippee.

When do we start the one about re-signing Owen?

He took the team backwards??? Isn't that a bit strong? When's the last time Napoli won a trophy?

Juventus are the Bayern Munchen of that league, pretty much unstoppable, but given time he'll catch up to them like he did with Valencia.

Regarding Ryan, yes he was pretty strong in his stance against Dalglish.

I said, he's a legend but he doesn't deserve to continue because it's been an abysmal season. People went mad!

If you need proof to how people react to my posts just look at the latest Agger debacle, and it all stemmed from me saying that we would have won the league if he played.
Gets back into team against the barcodes and BAM!
Goal.
Would have been a clean sheet too if Skrtel could keep his legs in check.

Yes - he took Napoli backwards. The league is the bread and butter for any club aspiring to be a big club. No one talks about him winning the UEFA Cup with Valencia - they talk about the leagues he won.

"Given time"? You mean like he caught up to Chelsea and Manure in the league? He's a brilliant cup manager - he's never proven his league titles in Spain were the norm ... though I'd be happy if he did it in Italy as I hate Juventus.

I wouldn't have had a problem with that statement - though I'm sure I did. In hindsight, if you phrased it like that, then it's fine (though it's ironic as Rafa had finished off his last season in 6th? and no cups ... that's abysmal too).

No way to prove the Agger statement one way or another. I think you know why you rub people off the wrong way ... it's like giving the girl a shocker without warning and expecting her to smile and nod approvingly.

Exactly, but he fails to see that the majority of the time, he doesn't get shit for his opinions, he gets shit for being a nobhead over it and ramming it down peoples throats. He's renowned for it, as we all know - Carragher, Downing, Aquilani, Carroll, Riise, Alonso, Dalglish, Agger, Skrtel, Gerrard, Rafa, Rafa, Rafa, Rafa, Rafa..................

Yeah he was called a cunt, because he was acting like one. He tried to pull the "haha.. look at you, the one who wanted Dalglish to stay", earlier in this thread, after I'd admitted in my own post, that yeah, I wasn't against him being given time to get it right (something he'd obviously failed to read, or acknowledge), I wasn't dead against him going either, it was for the best, but you know, I wanted him to do well, who didn't? Oh.

That, as opposed to littering the forums with "too cool for school" bollocks about not being as blinded by adoration of a club legend, as the rest of us are. And that's before we mention the Carragher fuck up compilation he has on perma link. But poor the Modo wonders why he gets shit time and time again. Fuck me.

As for the Agger being great because he ""Bam!", came back with a goal, remind me how many goals he's scored for us across his career when playing regularly? He had a good game yesterday, because he's a good player, he's a tad overrated by some, personally I think all our CB's are much the same level, ie decent but not good enough, but Modo has to take it all personally.

I'm quite sympathetic to some of your arguments Modo but that really is just laughable.
It really was one of the worst seasons ever. Ok the cup runs were good, but after spending that amount of money you'd at least expect us to compete for CL places.

Don't forget Adam.
I've definitely not forgotten the numerous times you've mentioned Johnson.
We all have our agendas, I might mention them more than others but as long as people were defending shite players like Downing and Adam they needed to be mentioned.

LTW you dont half talk some shite about Benitez, you just cant give a any type of credit can you?

You were writing Rafa and this season off as a stone cold failure a couple of months ago, it was a silly statement then and looks even sillier now, hes just won Napoli only their 2nd trophy in 25 years and got them in the CL, if Napoli win their last game of the season the will finish on exactly the same points as last year, i bet the Napoli fans are in despair at that failure of a season.

The Juventus excuse is weak stick to beat Benitez with as well, they are head and shoulders above anything in that league, 100 odd points tells you all you need to know about that, maybe Juve will be weakened next season with some of their players leaving and Benitez can make Napoli stronger and close the gap, just have to wait and see on that one.

There is no doubt about that league wise, its similar to Gerrards mistake in that it some try and whitewash it and point in other directions away from the obvious.

Never before or since have i expected Liverpool to lose games every week, even at Anfield to the relegation scrappers, it was beyond dreadful.

You do realise, don't you, when LFC began? You realise it was going before the sixties?

Strewth, who let the kiddie play with sarcasm?

Now he's quoting himself. Onanism.

Well you did give an immediate example of what i said.

You have made me laugh today (thank you), going about it like yesterdays meltdown never happened, the complaint to the mod this morning over someone calling you a name was priceless.

In the end, though, after all the reasons and explanations and excuses for Liverpool's unqualified failure in league play, it will always come back to one inescapable truth: 52 points. With that return, Liverpool ends the 2011-12 season with the worst record the club has managed in the top flight of English football since being demoted in 1954.

Like I said, one of the worst seasons ever, also considering factors like money spent on transfers.

It was bad GK, of course I'm happy that something good came out of it, but we were really dire that season.

You do know the club has been relegated? I don't need the history told to me. What you really mean is since the 60s/early 70s. At least the years when Watford didn't knock us out of a cup and other such stuff. That kind of forced nonsense. Or better still: "One of the worst that I personally can remember", which would have made all of this unnecessary.

OK it wasn't one of the worst seasons ever it was the worst season since the 50s.

Yes they can, and they will. I take no pleasure from it - quite the opposite - but I'm not going to embrace some weird Noel Edmonds style wishful thinking just to repel the gloom. I fear people will look back at this season and think that was the one that could have and should have been but never was. So much better than the chance with Evans or Rafa, but thrown away by the most alarming lack of cojones I've ever seen in a Liverpool side. A stupid loss.

I thought the Palace game was the nadir. The moment that made my bollocks shrivel up into my throat from sheer fucking pain and anxiety. I honestly felt that would be the most soul-destroying, heart-wrenching, gut-achingly difficult moment I'd ever have to go through as a LFC supporter.

Thankfully you started posting again.

Palace was brutal in terms of the way the game went. However, Chelsea was much worse IMO.

We had won 11 on the trot leading up to it, and it was that Mourinho cunt and Chelsea that had to bring up back down to Earth with an almighty bang. To make matters worse a Gerrard mistake cost us.

I received a private message with some naughty words also, its ok though, i will respect his wishes and stay out of his way, im probably on ignore now anyway.

It all boils down to that same old story being fine with dishing it out but not really liking it when you get some back, ah well, fuck it.
