We were that bad, really not just making that up about expecting to lose every week after Xmas, honestly it was like supporting a different club.

Correct me if wrong but our record in the last half of the season was something like 5-3-11, 18 points from 19 games, thank fuck that wasn't the start of the season and we managed 34 points in the first 19 games, that was after spending 120 odd million on players as well, just absolutely shocking and thats an understatement, i dont know how anyone can deny it was anything but abysmal, it was 8th we finished as well just edging out Fulham on goal difference from 9th.

You have me wrong LTW, im not that petty tit for tatter, as mentioned in the post above Rafa made mistakes with us for sure, thats easy to admit because he actually did, no whitewashes at all, but lets be honest about it Rafa mistakes were nowhere near the absolute shambolic mess Kenny (and DC) made.

This ain't a Kenny bashing thing either, its just being honest about what happened.

Oh we were absolute shite in the 2nd half - which is why he was let go (right decision).

We need to start a new thread or Ross will punish us.

Fuck me you lot are dismal.
For all the fucking bleating about Palace it didnt and wouldnt have made a blind bit of difference.
We lost to Chelsea (who beat pretty much every top side home and away) and that cost us. There is no shame in losing to Chelsea, they are a top side who played better than us on the day. If we had beaten Palace 8 nil it wouldnt have mattered a fuck because we still would have finished second. So while the 3-3 was a shit thing to watch as a fan it has no bearing on the result of the league title at all.

So if you think losing ONE game since January against the second richest team in England, the team most tipped for the title is embarrassing and throwing it away then what can be said other than fair play. Each to his own I suppose.
I am broken hearted we didnt beat Chelsea, but im not going to call anyone a coward, this team went on an unbelievable run and came unstuck against one of the very best teams after winning 11 on the spin. Im proud of what they achieved and cant see capitulation in any of that. We beat Man Utd, Spurs, Everton and Man City on that run and losing to any of those and beating Chelsea would still have had the same result. We still would have finished second. Thats what it would have taken to win this league. Perfection from Jan 1.

Like everyone else would have loved nothing better than to see Kenny do the buisness, why he tore up the good work he was doing in the previous season who knows!, that was the one of the most frustrating things about it, Carroll obviously had something to do with it because he injured mostly in that season and had to be accomodated the next.

Whilst I agree that Macca's opinion is completely counter to everyone elses. I dont think hes a WuM at all. Hes a misery because he sees it as a collapse and thats made him miserable.
And he hasnt really attacked anyone simply defended his own position.
I dont really get why his opinion (and Modo's for that matter) is being seen as less valid because it isnt the opinion of the masses.
I dont think thats necessarily a bad thing. I feel bad for him, because thats how he feels. I dont really see what hes done thats so wrong?

Not trying to be a dick like, just dont really get it. Like I said in my early post if its seen as a collapse or capitulation by some, thats ok. I dont see it that way, but that doesnt make my opinion any more valid.

That team that ended the season was playing amazing football. I was livid when we had about 6 different players in the team on the first day of the next season. Rafa did the same thing in his last season.
Mr Rodgers has predominantly stuck with the players, coached them and helped them get better. I really hope next season is the same and we dont see wholesale changes.

Yeah, we were playing some really nice fluid attacking football then the following season it all changed for the worse.
