I'm sorry to see Segura go and would be just as sorry to lose Borrell, but it's far from clear to me that any of this implies fault on FSG's part.

We need at least one guy at the top of the reserves and academy to keep the philosophy going. It's not a 4 year job. Needs to be at least a decade before we seriously see the end result.

It's probable, though, because they're idiots, and idiots tend to do stupid things.
I don't think John Henry went from being a farmer's son in Buttfuck, Nowhere, to a multi-millionnaire by being an idiot.
Naive about football, finding their feet, wondering if they bit off more than they can chew possibly, but idiots, I don't think so.
They have made some baffling decisions for sure but unless some Sheikh or Russian crook turns up we are stuck with them.

I remember people telling me that there's no way they'd been pressured into giving Kenny the job against their better judgement, because, as multi-millionaires they must necessarily be shrewd and ruthless. Well I think it's clear enough now that that's what happened.
Of course I exaggerate a bit, but the reality that the only person in a high position at the club who really knows football is Brendan Rodgers is, for me, pretty alarming.
Don't get me wrong, I agree that Rodgers being the most experienced football man at the club is astounding. And yes we are truly fucked in my opinion. Perhaps 'football idiots' would be more precise?
